Imo Ramee perfectly demonstrated the problem with this new barrier shit. Absolutely zero value of life. Dude was blasted, while unarmed, for walking... No attempted non-lethal. They didn't try to knock him out. Never tried to cuff or detain in any way. Just "hey you know we will shoot you when you cross this line." I'm sorry but that is a fucking joke. Learn to secure a crime scene without killing innocent people. Cops are too butthurt from criminals bailing their boys out when caught. You wanna know what would be a really good way to balance cops? Give the pd a budget. If they want to use air 1? Pay for the fuel to use air 1. If they want to use a higher tier police car? Submit a request to a board of representatives for a specific cop to use said vehicle for x amount of time. Want to use the anti rp barriers and the entire force? Give a REALLY good reason to and (you guessed it) pay for the usage of the barriers. You can even have specific items that cops have to pay for with their own money and make it very expensive. Sure this is a 5 min idea made by a guy who has no idea how to even implement this but it's just me giving my two cents. Edit: Also I just thought about it and you could actually get more rp for cops this way as well (if they want to rp and not just tdm I mean).

You know whats crazy? The cops already have a budget and have to pay for Air1 fuel, you might know this if you maybe looked into it before complaining about it. The budget is handed out by the Mayor and just like the criminals, over the course of 3.0 the state has accrued a shit load of money just like many of the criminals have. The budgets have become pretty lenient and some cops have a decent amount of money now too, it used to be pretty hardcore, having trouble repairing their vehicles, getting weapons, and everything.

Honestly I don't think the devs have the same vision. one minute you have cop focussed overpowered ness, then the next its crim. why is it never balanced?? What buffs have crims had recently other than a slight buff to the cars that only halved the original nerf? Crims have been hit hard by car and class 2 nerfs and had gates removed. PD cars and weapons are untouched, they have been given extra power to stop and search simply for wearing a mask and now can setup their own portable insta kill barriers in gang turf.

Honestly I feel like balance to the barriers should be if you are carrying a barrier you can't have a gun out you can't drive a car you must drop or place the barrier. You cant carry more than one barrier at a time and they have to be stored in a trunk otherwise.

Say there's a flipped car and someone is washed and gets cuffed next to the car. If the "barrier" is placed it ruins any kind of rescue efforts with out shooting or being shot at. I sure hope they use these barriers sparingly for large scenes and not just every situation! Between cop buffs and this horrific snow I won't be surprised if WL will be a crim ghost town especially until the snow goes away.

I don't do takes much, but I'll leave my opinion or random ramble here just because 😆 I heard about this rule and now I see it in action. The problem I have with the barriers are that they are indestructible, or at least that is the impression I'm given so far. That makes it harder to save anyone. That's not just CG, but any crim is going to have a hard time. Maybe that is what they want though? However, now it's going to always turn into an hour long or even hours long shoot outs. I remember lots of PD complaining about that or at least I thought they did? So that's why it's confusing why they would make a rule that encouraged something that PD hated. I don't know though, but it sounds like the only choice is to wipe PD to save someone or force the shoot out long enough for them to call an agreement of cease fire. Which everyone just takes their down members and split after. Which has already happened a few times in the past. Plus if Mr. K really does do the no cops in their turf, it'll be interesting to say the least. If all gangs start to do the same and it's an all out shoot out on cops at that point. Something will have to give. Will it happen? Who knows, everyone is different on this server. I also seen a different clip of Dean talking with PD in the PD meeting about this barrier thing. It was just horrible excuses, but it wasn't just random cops. It was higher ranked cops too. They were willing to shoot innocent civs, which was why he was upset. Eugene, or whoever it was outside the barrier, getting shot in this video is kind of proof of they would too. If it was Judd, who is always low health. Well Judd would be dead on the floor honestly 🤣That would be Judd, the innocent civ shot by PD at that point. I even remember a clip of Koil saying since 3.0, some good 2.0 rp cops stopped doing rp all the time and fell into this new cop mentality/ style. Which of course isn't adding into the rp element. This whole situation right now though sounds like a split in PD until the rule is updated or such I think. Dean deserves some respect for calling them out though. He said he wasn't going to have his department act like that. Gotta respect that, especially nowadays. In the end, it's all just a game and it's an ever changing server. 4.0 is also coming out in the coming month or months as well. So things will just be fresh at that point too. If sum sum decides to quit for awhile too, it's not a bad time. He can check it out again when 4.0 comes out, since he will have a lot to do at that point.

Criminals need to start understanding that wiping the police and saving your whole squad isn't and shouldn't be possible. This is a roleplay environment and you roll with what's dealt to you. The cops will always have the numbers and if you start a shootout they will all come. You're not supposed to wipe them, the most you should do is kill the ones close in pursuit and get the hell out of there, thinking you can wipe the police every time or even ever is just dumb. Because shit is cringe. like 20 cops showed up to an area, plopped down a barrier which is the place the people live at, and just gun down anyone near by. That 20 seconds that Summit was in a fight and died resulted in him being charged 21,000$ and given 92 months in prison..... Imagine how bad 4.0 is going to be when people actually need to grind for money, in combination with the 'wipe' system they are talking about implementing. It isn't real life, it is an RP server. This interaction was literally like a FiveM team death match server where the the teams were unbalanced. Now cops can just shoot anyone nearby their imaginary area to confirm the W. Not to mention they literally took all the people and hid them away in a garage so that it was impossible to even have a chance to get them. Cops have more people, better guns, better cars, and no consequences. Meanwhile crims have to have perfect shots, perfect strategy, and perfect driving or they just lose and get large consequences.
