Summiting Mount Bogong in the Snow

My mates and I summited Mount Bogong, the tallest peak in Victoria, Australia. We took two days to complete the trip, spending one night at Michell's hut on the northern side of the mountain. (May 2022)

@@willdonaldson_ Had to pull out hike due to left knee a bit sad only was able to about 2kms on the track...then headed back to my car. I'm getting better now and planning a nice hike to Lake Tali Karng in the end of November my first hike since 2019!!!!

Is the trail relatively well marked to the summit or is it easy to get disorientated and wander off track in a white out?

Hi, Jon. There are markers up to the summit and we did not have any problems finding our way. However, in a severe white out it would be possible to get lost. All the best
