I bought the German Version from Difona HF-P1 for the Half of what the Superantenna MP1 is. But I agree with you Dom, sometimes it's time consuming to adjust the SWR for operating band. I prefer a wire antenna before any buddy stick. But if you go portable with no support of bushes and trees a tripod with buddy stick makes more sense. Thx for sharing another great video again. Happy monday into Croatia & 73 de Uncle Guenter

I was thinking of buying an HF-P1, but in the end, I decided to buy an MP1. It's not a problem when you're close to the antenna, but when you're 10m away and on difficult rocky terrain ... another story. Soil type and environment affect tuning ... anyway, thanks for your support!! 73 dr om

Great video. Love all your videos. Tough climb to summit, but how beautiful a view. Wish I could that. You said, what was I thinking taking the mp1 antenna. You took that, many years ago I proposed over the phone while i was drunk. Your MP1 was the wiser decision! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I enjoy your videos, keep up the great work. Have fun, stay safe and stay healthy!

I always enjoy your videos. Mp1 is convenient, but a pain to tune. EFHW or a Dipole are very hard to beat. Thanks K7WHN

Yep!! For SOTA I like plug and play antenna, dipol or EFHW. Thanks!! ✌🏻👍🏻

Hi, in the past I used 12v 7ah Pb batteries same yours, but since I test a lipo (3s, 5000mah) there is no return. Runs perfect with about three times less weight and super size small. The verticals multiband antenas like MP-1, Pac-12 or Buddystick have this issue to tune it. Good video, tnx for take your time to show us. Regards from Spain, Jon EA3BV

Yea, I really need to move on from Pb batteries to something more advanced... these are killing me 😂 Thanks for watching!
