I've been watching your videos almost religiously now for a couple of months, I guess you could say I'm hooked. One of the things I find most endearing about the videos is that you show some of your mess ups and mispronunciations etc. In a world driven by the pursuit of false perfection, you have achieved it through being honest. “The Futuristic Sounds of Sun Ra” is also a great place to start in my opinion. It has the psychedelic and funk elements, but also a strong bossa nova feel as well.

I have always assumed Sun Ra's music would be too much for me to enjoy, like with Pharoah Sanders. But I was at a local record shop recently and the guy working put on some music that had a strong rhythm section rooted in some gorgeous Fender Rhodes playing, and while there was some nasally horns noodling over the top it never got too harsh or went too wild. Obviously I found out it was Lanquidity and spent my car ride home listening to it and really enjoying it. Just got a copy from 2018 on red vinyl this past weekend and it sounds amazing

Hello there. Could you possibly do some form of video on The Stranglers? This is only if they're your thing. For a 'punk' band I feel they were so innovative, and it seems that now whenever punk is mentioned on the internet there's never mentions of The Stranglers. It was as although their music was swept under the rug. So it'd be great to see some form of appreciation for what they did in that time. They're all great personalities too, let alone musicians. (only opinion) ~ Anyhow, thanks for these videos, they're bloody brilliant :) - If you're not aware of their back catalogue I'd definitely recommend Rattus Norvegicus and The Raven.

I've been thoroughly enjoying your videos, particularly the comprehensive Radiohead video you did a while back. I'm a big fan of theirs and I had a field day looking up and listening to all the obscure demo tapes you mentioned. I don't think anyone else on the internet is doing anything quite like what you've got here. I don't know if you're familiar with Boards of Canada at all, but I would love to see you do a video about them, similar to the ones you did on Radiohead, Nick Cave, and Richard D James. They have an unnerving amount of unreleased music and obscure demos, so you'd certainly have your work cut out for you. Keep doing what you're doing!

Sorry that this is an irrelevant comment to the video, but do you know of the KZbinrs "Velocities in Music?" They do Music Discussions and Podcasts, and I think you or anyone else interested in your videos would enjoy their podcasts! I also love your Deep Cut Essentials series, especially the one featuring Talk Talk. I have never heard of this album, so I will have to check it out and then come back and re-watch the video so I can understand it's significance. Appreciate your videos and great insight!

This essentials segment is great part of your channel. Slightly off topic but would you recommend any other John Frusciante albums like 'Curtains'? I really enjoyed that record. I enjoyed 'Talk Talk' and will definitely check this one out by Sun Ra, thanks!

It is not a word it is a phrase, and I assume you use it to the people you described because you are not able to differentiate between opinions and you just generalise anybody. My objection is that to describe Sun Ra in the way you did is to diminish him which I find is to denigrate a great musician in a trite and trivial way. You may find that this is "not cool" but what the fuck...you appear to think you have the answer to the appreciation of his music, I think not.
