Was pretty disappointed running pierce LBG against all these new monsters that have conditional hitzones and hyper aggression. So I figured "Hey if it's going to be in my face anyway..." switched to spread LBG w/ evade extender + quick dash and never looked back.

Is there any viability with rapid fire spread 2 lbgs? It seems like an interesting ammo type that I would like to try out. Espinas and Goss Harag LBG seem pretty good for this. Espinas has 330 attack with 10% affinity with a level 2 rampage slot, while Goss Harag has 360 attack with -15% affinity, a level 2 slot, and a level 2 rampage slot. Both have a clip size of 5. If you see this Ang, please look into this if you have time, thanks!

personally I run espinas lbg with fanning vault to do pepper damage with shrapnel + lbg mines and unload spread when the monster's doen

Goss LBG absolutely shreds. In terms of raw damage, it performs better than every other lbg and it even easily out damages the garangolm HBG by quite a bit. Don’t let the negative affinity scare you off, weakness exploit, which all gunners should be running, basically makes it +35%. The must have skills are spread up, rapid up, spare shot, and weakness exploit. Fortunately Rakna chest and waist will net you a lot of the skills you need.

I use the Shagaru LBG for Spread Lv3, because I need less crit mods. Just W.Ex lv3 and I'm already at 85% affinity, then I add CB 3. I can use Critical firepower with the silencer, but I do need ballistics lv3--and I won't have as long range as this setup. Tho the damage is nearly comparable, and I get to use a sick looking LBG.

I went with: Head - Rakna Chest - Kaiser Arms - Barroth Waist - Rakna Legs - Goss I couldn't tell you the talisman I used off the top of my head but it's not like a god talisman by any means. I ended up with Tune Up 2, Spread Up 3, Attack up 7 (or 6 if you want a level of Evade Distance for being comfy), Agitator 5, Reload 3, Recoil 3, Ballistics 3, Flinch Free 1.

Your clip showing how ballistics 3 + tune-up 2 makes spread shots straight up miss despite the reticle being in critical distance range leads me to think that’s a bug. Like, I wouldn’t really recommend that much aim extension regardless since your pellets spread out too far, but the fact you weren’t even getting non-critical distance hits is so odd to see.

Female armor only. I believe the male counterpart is arc armor. It's the one you can craft from shagaru parts.

If you are using a male character the helm is named arc. For female it is called storge

Third level of Steadiness also increases range while negating any deviation gained from dango temper food skill. So Steadiness 3 and Ballistics 1 should give same range increase as Tune Up 2 Power Barrel. Far easier to slot into a build than Tune Up or Steadiness 2 I've found with my shitty charms.

Tune up 2 gives about 15-20 raw damage from the bonus damage to long barrel so it's pretty good to have

@@Stygiophobic I did some testing earlier and was only seeing an increase of 11 attack when using attack boost 7 with tune up 2 on final boss LBG. 30 total from power barrel with tune up 2, while normal power barrel was giving 19.

I will have to say the LBG have been disappointing in sunbreak mostly using retreads of old guns. The long sword and sword & shield have great new weapons and makes the loop much more fun to play-through. Your build are always great and can't wait to try them!

why is everyone talking about this lbg when the espinas lbg is way better. With the same build i did 250 in one shot to the training dummy compared to only 197 with the gaismagorm one. Rapid fire spread 2 is the way to go.

Espinas is the best Pierce 2 LBG, though in practically, Pierce 3 should outperform it in most scenarios and here again, the final boss weapon is king. There is a lengthy discussion in the MonsterHunterMeta subreddit on why rapid pierce is a trap. I played Rapid Pierce 2 all base Rise, using either Spread 3 or Pierce 3 non rapid in Sunbreak, depending on the hunt...

This build is sh!t.. constant health degeneration that can cause you to be 1 hit on a anomaly quests. Unless you are running a trainer on unli health on PC, then you can use these armor skills.

Rapidfire is pretty ez to do just seach "Rapid-Fire Controller on PC via Steam" on youtube. Keep in my mind any moves which needs the trigger to be held down dont work anymore.
