literally everybody has had a 'Switch 2 reveal X date' by now and they have all been completely wrong so lo leakers now has any credibility when it comes to switch2. it's all getting a bit old. I expected this reveal back in october 24. I'm at the point that i'm tired of hearing about it with no results. I'm looking out for nintendo announcements but i dont trust anything now unless its direct from Nintendo.

We shall see if he's right! Hope it isn't a short teaser trailer, like showing the console and joy cons and that's it. Hope there's at least some type of context. Hope at least there is a launch game running on the screen or showcasing of the enhanced backwards compatibility with those running on the screen. Then maybe next month we get a price reveal, games lineup, and or a pre order date info. I'm all for a Spring/Summer release.

If this is accurate that the reveal (whenever it is) is only going to focus on the harware only and not the games; then it better clearly show how it is a MASSIVE improvment over the Switch 1. This means; show and state a type of backwards compatiblity that SIGNIFICANTLY improves the Switch 1 games along with a whole bunch of features that we had no idea of (more than just that mouse support which seems like a shoe in).

It sounds really convincing and promising so I would believe it. The only game that they are probably going to show is Metroid Prime 4 and probably for the purpose of showing the difference between how it looks docked versus undocked and with and without upscaling. This is a way to show a game without revealing anything else currently lined up for the switch 2

But we know the Hardware already, we don’t need a trailer for the switch 2 hardware, but for the ui and software and how the new hardware and gimmicks (C button, Mouse sensor) will influence the games. If the trailer for the games comes in February or march I fear that the switch 2 will be released in late summer

So, I don’t know if you’ve seen my past comments, but I’ve been consistently saying on here that the Switch would be revealed this week. I kept pointing out that nothing is preventing Nintendo from revealing it on the same day that a minor port of an old game is released, while Switch KZbinrs have been saying that Nintendo wouldn’t do that. But they’ve done it before. I’ve also said that I’m not guessing or making a prediction. Make of that what you will. With that little bit of credibility established: the Switch will NOT BE a June release. Unless things have changed from what I was last told, the Switch 2 will be an April release.

I'm a bit lukewarm about the console itself. I'll likely get it, but I'm expecting the usual launch hiccups and updates. Let's hope they're software issues that can be patched. The games, on the other hand, have me really excited. I'm looking forward to new racing, platforming, and RPG experiences built specifically for the new system. Nothing ported or remastered, please. And I expect them to run significantly better than, say, Xenoblade 3, which had multiple loading screens even during the ending cinematic. Typically, there's some social media buzz before these kinds of announcements. If they confirm it, that means it's something to look forward to.

@@rhovenom04 just crazy enough to sound like Nintendo. Also, they did this with Mario Party Star Rush on the 3ds back in 2016 for the Switch 1 reveal actually. It wasn’t a simultaneous world wide release but in Japan and others regions it came out on October 20th, which was the same day as the first look trailer for Switch.

Na how about this. ​​Here are my Nintendo successor dates. Announced Jan 22nd. Happens after a major Nintendo store/system maintenance update on the 21st but before Xbox event on the 23rd because Xbox wants to announce games coming to the switch successor. Launch is March 14th. Works with delayed game releases, and it is the first day that Nintendo can push the sales of it to Q1 of the next year but it gets here sooner.
