Marvel vs Capcom collection, finally being able to play these games specifically marvel vs Capcom 2 on a Nintendo console is a big deal to me especially since we got shafted for both the GameCube and Wii not having it

I never got around to buying a Nintendo Switch. I thought about getting one soon but now I'm planning on saving up for the Switch 2. I can't wait to play all the games.

I personally think it’s worth buying the current Switch especially as there will be a drought of games for Switch 2 at the beginning and quite frankly I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to the current Switch as i only got my Switch OLED last year and I don’t have anything else besides my Switch and that’s by choice as neither PlayStation, Xbox or PC appeal to me as i don’t want hyper realistic interactive movies that are masquerading as games. Nintendo’s offering are what I’m interested in and I’m sticking with Nintendo going forward and will be definitely getting Switch 2.

@@sirownzalotgaming3025I think they know they need to make it backwards compatible. The Switch is basically the best console of all time. There is a true charm to this machine. People don’t want to give it up and if the next switch is similar, just better with the same old games - then it’s a lot easier to accept.

I've been wondering why they're releasing a remastered DK game so late in the switch life, maybe they'll hit us with a full 3D DK game early in the Switch 2 release time. A man can dream.

Nintendo is and still delivering for the final year of Switch! The Switch is outdoing the 3Ds final outing since we are gettting:Metroid Prime 4 Beyond,Mario and Luigi Brothership,Zelda Echoes of Wisdom,Super Mario Party Jamboree,and great 3rd Party support! Seems like following this my theory is that the Switch 2 for next year might have some killer software for next year.

Doubt Nintendo will announce new hardware this year. They will most likely announce it right after this fiscal year ends and release it Holiday 2025.

They told their investors they’ll reveal it this fiscal year so they will. That said I can see them waiting until January so they don’t spoil their holiday for Switch.

They won't be telling people for a second time the direct won't feature the new console for a mainline direct And I doubt there won't be another direct this year.

I just wish you can go back to the sound fx for Paper Mario as well as the music. I also wish the minor story elements that got changed would've been left alone... Beyond that, the game is loads of fun! Also, IF we get another Direct, it'll be a mini Direct or Partner Showcase

I feel like they won't do next gen hardware reveal in the fall as that would get in the way of their goal of selling additional switch hardware during the holiday season of 2024 as revealing the new console would distract people and possibly be a deterrent from getting switch 1 hardware

I couldn't beat Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon on the 3DS because the final mission had a time limit. I'm going to wait on buying the game to see if the time limit is still there or if Nintendo got rid of it and made it slightly easier.

Why would Nintendo tout new hardware before the coming holidays? That makes no sense. People would be less inclined to buy a new Switch for Christmas if they know "Switch 2" is coming out within 6 months. I think they'll announce next year, perhaps early, and the console will release in the second half of the year. Metroid Prime 4 may then become a cross-gen release title.

Because there won't be another direct for the switch going by this direct. To not have any announcement of anything till march next year would be an awful outlook for nintendo fans. It appears nintendo will repeat what they did with the switch. Sales are reclining rapidly for the switch that only a price cut can save, which will likely occur at the announcement of the next console in September or October of this year.

The way they can do it is you tell people a new console is coming and then the current one goes on sale and a lot of games go on sale. That way a lot of people will still buy the cheap stuff and you then get a lot of people waiting for the next thing. Win win. But you’re right, they could announce it just after Christmas. With the Switch they announced it before Christmas and it worked out well. Granted, the Wii U was not a popular console so it is different this time.

Hi Sunbro! In my honest opinion, a Nintendo Direct for September 2024 is for sure going to happen... allow me to explain. This past Nintendo Direct that we just got, was amazing. However... there is still a lot more that they have in store to show us. I have a feeling there were a lot of things (big things) that Nintendo was not able to show us, or fit into the Direct on 6/18/24. On the topic of the Nintendo Switch 2. We all know it's coming. But we don't have anything concrete, aside from what Nintendo has already told us. Their direction, path and course of action... could change at the drop of a hat. So, it's really up in the air at this point. Finally in regards to Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, being a cross-gen title. I doubt it. That would be nice, but I highly doubt it (as in I am 150% near certain) that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be for the Nintendo Switch only. I could be mistaken on that. However, with the way Nintendo has left all of us kind of scratching our heads thinking (ok, what's next)?! It might be safe to say... we're all going to have to sit back, buckle up, wait, see and enjoy the ride. Because you never can tell, or predict what will happen next. See ya in the next video! Not to mention another Paper Mario and 2 Mario turn based strategy games. I'm not the biggest fan of M&R, but i played most of Kingdom Battle. So there's been plenty of Mario RPG love (though RPG, Ttyd, and Brothership will be the peak on Switch, IMO)

I think we get a September direct and Nintendo finally reveals the Switch 2 in January 2025. I really can't see them revealing it in September at all but i could be wrong..there are still some games that i expect Nintendo to announce for this year and those are Metroid 2 and 3 and i'm sure there are others they want to announce..Unless this year is an exception and we don't get a Nintendo Direct in September...Later

7:52 Nintendo would ideally release Switch 2 as early in Fiscal Year 2025 as possible. I think it's safe to expect an announcement/unveiling in January 2025 and a release in April or May 2025.

I think that there will be a October Direct that will show off the successor to the Switch with a late March 2025 for the release of said successor. I think we will see a shadow drop of MP 2 and MP 3 dual pack with a December 2024 for the physical copy release date. I think MP 4 Will be a cross gen game.

I am excited for all games being released 🎉. I am beginning to think the next console is going to just be a switch refresh again with a 4k graphics/better processor like the oled refresh. The real completely new Nintendo ‘gimmick’ console is going to be an AR gaming experience like in that movie “Her” where the game senses your hand/eye movements to play the character in your room, but an AR glasses wireless would be available for those who don’t have the room space to play.

There is 0 reason to release a new switch when its dominating the market.. The new games listed are well into 2025.. I bet there is no new nintendo system till late 2025 or 2026 at minimum
