I've been struggling mentally and questioning my self worth as a film maker due to many festival rejections. This video has been the medication I needed to get me feeling better again. Thanks guys! I found you at the right time!

I'm right there with you! I've also been comparing myself to other more successful filmmakers that are my age and that had me feeling terrible about myself for a while. This is a hard business to be in but I won't give up! I have a story that needs telling and by god I'm gonna tell it!

Very inspirational, so much passion in their advices, but before taking those advices, think about how are we going to make it through, probably took half decade to a decade to be able sit on that chair and talk about their experiences, thus it's not easy, filmmaking is so hard, think about that camera man who is actually filming them in this video, he is probably on his way through his career, we all start from there, don't give up guys, if you really want it, you will get it.

I had no idea Shaka King directed Judas and The Black Messiah until I looked him up after this video. What a journey!

What the black said at 1:30 is so accurate for me, I have no choice, I can’t do anything else. I’m unhappy doing anything else unless it’s something like playing football (soccer) or just hanging out with friends but even then I’m still not fulfilled. Filmmaking makes me happy and fulfilled at the same time

his name is clearly written at the 1:30 mark.. its Shaka King
