Thanks for the shout out, man! Much appreciated. Sometimes my comments can be snarky, but that’s just me attempting humor. I’ve learned SO much just from watching and paying attention to your videos. It has helped me pay attention to self diagnose and fix things when it’s not going my way on the range. Thanks Ben!

I think what Ben is doing with his high round count testing of many different platforms is more invaluable that all the current other gun tube combined. No one is out there putting near the amount of rounds through a lot of these guns, and having the honesty to do follow up videos to keep us all updated with parts breakage, warranty, or just validation that this gun or this optic is holding up well after ___ amount of rounds. Keep up the great work, we appreciate it

Agreed, if I buy something it’s to use. I wear a nice watch, enjoy them I wear to the range, to class, to work, I bought it to use not to only wear once a month. Guns thr same, I am fortunate enough to have some nicer ones. They get used and abused. I didn’t buy them to keep them new, I bought them to beat the brakes off of in training, competition, and carry/use. There’s nothing more sad than a beautiful car that never leaves the garage or a beautiful gun that never leaves the safe.

With as much shooting as you do, are you having any physical issues, carpal tunnel, tendinitis, etc? Aside from potential lead exposure, I found (since I don’t shoot a lot) taking a class was a challenge at the end of day two on my hands because I’m not “used to” the amount of repeated motions.

I’d like to know as well. I shoot and dry fire regularly, and I notice pains in my hands, especially when drying firing daily
@HamiltonNgo-A244 ай бұрын
He answered this on a previous podcast episode on PSTG with Joel and he has had none in terms of pain and issues so far in his hands, forearms, arms, shoulders. Ben had talked about he thinks the main reason behind this is that he holds the gun MUCH looser than most other people as indicated by his grip philosophy. "Just hold the gun with your hands and forearms and control recoil with visual precision".

What are your thoughts about keeping a round count on every gun? I have made it a point to track every single box I go through and write it down in notes. I’m not even quite sure why I do it honestly. In other words, why should you track round count to begin with? Thank you for the free content Ben. I started shooting last December and the videos are pointing me in the right direction and have helped a ton.

Id love to hear your take on the Berettas. Im sure its beem covered but i haven't stumbled on it yet.. why did you stop shooting the Berettas to begin with? Just boredom or was there a specific reason(s).. and did you shoot 92s or a different line? Just curious. Love the content.

Random question of your opinion on round count . I bought my first 2011 about 2 years ago and it was a staccato p and quickly moved on to a xc and recently purchased a atlas Erebus and I noticed these types of firearms just shoot so amazingly that I find myself not wanting to leave the range and typically run through 500-1k rounds depending one how long I stay(probably not a lot to you)but I noticed when I’m on the range for more than 6 hours and hundreds of rounds later I feel like my shooting starts to go to shit . Maybe my body is fatigued .. not sure but is this something you’ve experienced and do you think there a limit of rounds for a good day of training or is it just me being out of shape

I am 100% against the "just get a Glock" mantra, especially for new shooters. The grip angle is weird, the trigger isn't that great, and the lack of a manual safety might scare some new shooters. I advocate double-action for new gun buyers; yes it's pricier, but that actually ties into Ben's advice about saving up for something higher quality (yes,I just called Glocks low-quality).

The staccato thing is very polarizing. I will admit I'm generally against them, but more for philosophical reasons than anything else: 95% of the people who buy one would be faaaaar better served by getting a Glock and spending the rest of that money on ammunition and training. Wanting it for pride of ownership is one thing (and I get it, many of them are excellent examples of machining) but the number of people who think it makes them badasses is... frankly somewhere between depressing and infuriating for me.
