Love that wood shift knob! I wonder what it's like to drive a car that old.

I love the 2002! Wish I could find one in my price range that wasn't a pile 😂

Whew finding them in decent shape is so hard! We totally lucked out and bought this one from someone who truly loved it and put a lot into it. I need to sit down with him and learn more about its history.

Quirky old cars are the best! I wonder what those wires dangling around in the steering wheel were for... horn maybe? Funny that the gear shift pattern is on the center console and not on the shifter itself

I love driving this car! It was only my second time really driving it and it took me a while to get warmed up to its quirky clutch engagement and the fact that the brake pedal & clutch come up from the floor instead of from down from above. I'm assuming the wires are to the horn too. I spent a few minutes pressing the horn button to no avail. 😂 Even tried foolishly to touch a couple wires together to see if I could elicit a little honk but no luck. It's just such a lovely little car!

@@Cooperautoworks I recently (2 years ago now wow time flies) sold my 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT which had a quirky clutch as well, and the 1st gear lockout was insane. Going up to a stop sign you basically had to be stopped before it would let you go from 2 to 1. We've got a 2015 Mazda 6 at my house and the brake pedal comes from above but the gas pedal comes from the floor. On the bright side there's no way you can get your toe under the tip of the pedal which I'm always a little worried will happen one day

The new BMW's are all that way the gas pedal comes up from the floor but brake and clutch from above. The pedal box in the 2002 is small which my tiny feet love! I may have cut it in the video but I reached over to grab a lil heel toe and giggled because it was so easy and fun!

@@Cooperautoworks Haha yup that was in the video! I've got big feet so the tiny Fiero pedal box was a mess stepping on myself. I think the Ford Fiesta had the best pedals I've driven, it's set up for left foot braking stock so there is plenty of room
