That's what many would like to see happen to the Vlos. I don't mind them actually.

Seeing a fast train near a curve is cool
@Schony7472 жыл бұрын
Yeah and this curve is fantastic to see that

Yep! Agreed. Good vision too. Though, I do wish our fast trains were just that . . . fast. Alas . . . no.

this be an end of era for the albury wodonga line what i read with the replacement of the loco hauled trains

People up that way want the "new" trains. Personally I like the comfort of the N set. It will be interesting to see what the punters up North think.

Is it usual for the "P" class to run long end first ?
@Schony7472 жыл бұрын
It was pretty common to see the P long end lead on these services. It was set up to run both long and short

About time this section of railway line between Sunshine and Bacchus Marsh got an upgrade? I can't believe there would still be single track section on a route to Ballarat? and also this line needs electrification, Deer Park and Caroline Springs have become Metropolitan suburbs but still serviced by Vline trains
@Schony7472 жыл бұрын
Melton should have been electrified years ago. At least now the section to Melton is all double track.

@@Schony747 spoke to someone at the Rail Projects Victoria display on Swanston Street. Reportedly many V/Line passengers prefer the V/Line train carriages for comfort, as they are designed for longer journeys.
@Schony7472 жыл бұрын
@@paulorocky That wouldn't surprise me. People seemed happy with the long distance Vlo so that a positive.

@@paulorocky If people prefer train carriages, why is the Government investing in long distance vlos?

Was the track layout at Bacchus Marsh changed at some stage? It seems odd that the platform continues past the end of the loop and seems to have been extended at the opposite end.
@Schony7472 жыл бұрын
The new Bacchus Marsh layout is completely different. There are now two platforms and the stabling area has been moved from the station to Maddingley on the Ballarat side of Bacchus Marsh
