Sunday Lunch At The Prince Of Wales Kenfig: The Welsh Pub Adventure Continues

Our Welsh country pub adventure takes us to The Prince of Wales Inn for Sunday lunch.
The Prince of Wales Inn, known locally simply as “The Prince” is next to Kenfig Nature Reserve near Porthcawl, South Wales.
The origins of The Prince date back to medieval times and the old borough of Kenfig. As well as a pub, the building has been used as a town hall, school, Sunday school and even a mortuary.
Not surprisingly, The Prince Of Wales Inn is meant to be one of the most haunted pubs.
During this visit, we try the Sunday Roast with some friends and family.

Hello from the States. Enjoying this series of videos of Pub lunches with you, Mel and Councillor Shawn (Sean?). I like to search online and learn more about the history of each pub and the area. I also go to the website of each pub and bring up the menu to see what good food they serve. Hoping to visit each pub someday and have a big plate of sausage and mash or lamb. Nothing like a Sunday lunch with family and friends, especially at the ‘most haunted pub in Wales’. Looking forward to the next one. Take care and stay well.

Just around the corner from me they do a lovely pint 🍻 it's a shame the old Kenfig castle is disappearing do to vandals and livestock crawling all over it nearby was the remains of a old cottage sticking out of the sand but now nearly gone

"Nut Roast" - I have to look after my figure in case they want me to star in the next Magic Mike. You should try the Prince, it's nice up there in the summer after a walk over Kenfig. I did walk there from Porthcawl just before Christmas on my other walking channel. Regarding the Bush Inn, it's only just off the A48 so easy to get to when driving back from Cardiff
