"... with Sunday, a unit you might regret skipping." Wow thanks for fueling my anxiety for a unit I absolutely hate but may require to be pulled because he's so stupidly broken.. Tingyun, Sparkle and Bronya combined and even more broken, we DEFINITELY NEEDED that kind of bullshit. "Don't worry if you can't pull them". Oh I don't need to, the game will constantly remind me how I suck because I don't have the brand new broken harmony unit and people will point fingers like they do when you don't have Robin. I've been in that situation. Also while sunday would technically fall under the same issue I had with Robin (aka no point of getting at the time since the best unit I could pair her with was Clara, as Acheron and Firefly had their team) because the energy gain would be meaningless for most of my DPS (Acheron/Feixiao works on stacks, Firefly hardly need it), I still have to consider how Jingliu would be affected (Jingliu being my favorite unit). We also have to consider Eidolons because let's be real, Hoyo is a greedy company and will definitely give them E1/E2 that is "necessary" to use to make the unit strong. All I want is for Sunday to be "bad" because I feel like Hoyo will excessively push remembrance on us to make it op/good, and is just playing on fomo. And Sunday's rerun will probably end up on a bad spot like how Robin was. I hate Sunday.😥And Fugue definitely got the short end of what's coming.

I think Sunday will get his rerun pretty early just like Robin. Robin came out in 2.2 and had her first rerun in 2.5 alongside Feixiao. Sunday will most likely rerun alongside the meta defining big boi summon dps.

Same, I have more uses for Fugue personally for my Rangers since I'd only be pulling Sunday as a Bronya upgrade for my Bootsie, I'll still maybe use a ten pull around the end of his banner just in case he wants to come early and still leave me with enough jades to pull Fugue, maybe I'd do a pull or two depending on how many I have. I've been able to save up 90 pulls in just one half of this 2.6 patch after using all my savings on Rappa, so I feel confident I will be able to have enough, Plus even if I don't get him early, he'll probably come back very soon

But one of my acquaintances didn't pull for Ruan Mei/Robin for Break and FuA meta until their rerun, and they're doing just as well as I am, despite me pulling both characters on day one. This might suggests I should prioritize pulling for Sunday only when I have a proper team to play with, rather than forcing myself to pull for a great unit that I'm not ready to use.

I say Sunday is a must pull due to his overall kit, but Fugue is needed if only you plan to play RMC. Sunday is a better RMC for sure, but idk if they can play together. Break meta won't fall, but they might have synergy with summon. Summoners probably have synergy with Fua/break/dot and more because i believe the summon meta will make the old units shine again

Going for a harmony that you know will play into the next meta is never wrong. It's probably the easier and most safe path to take. But, saving for the rerun is also okay, just that you need to keep it in mind for the spend planning during Amphoreus (where there's gonna be a lot cool units it seems).

💸💳. Don't be blind. All hoyo really aims for is us spending real money. And the more the better... But don't forget: this is just a game. It isn't worth spending money on (5 euros every so often is ok, but don't buy jades and such). Just forget meta (that's for rich people). Past meta teams can also clear in the future - non-meta units can do so, too. Pick 2 mains you like, step by step build workable teams for them (no need to be perfect) and slowly level up their cones, traces, relics, etc. They will be able to clear it all. We feel like non-meta teams cannot perform because they tell us so (even YT streamers because they also live off on our FOMO) and because we don't build our characters properly. We just half-bake them and then of course they struggle... But in Genshin, people can main QiQi. And in HSR people can main Arlan, Dan Heng, etc...

I think Sunday has the best chance of aging well and staying relevant. Advance forward + Summoning/Remembrance coming soon + Energy Ult. If you had to pull for one, I think Sunday would be the best bang for you buck.

@@rafiathallahseniang129 “Snapshot” refers to when a character is able to retain whatever buffs are currently applied to them upon casting an ability for the ability’s whole duration regardless if the buffs expire. Moze snapshots the active buffs on him when entering his “departed state”, and retains those buffs until he exits it, it doesn’t matter how long those buffs are supposed to last or if they get removed somehow, Moze will keep them. Fugue’s omnibreak buff only applies to the most recent character she uses her skill on, it will be removed from one character if she puts it on another, but theoretically, Moze should keep the buff as long as he had it when entering the Departed state, since he normally cannot have buffs removed or added while in the state. There is a chance that Fugue’s buff can’t be snapshot for whatever reason, but there is a pretty good chance it can, which is kinda interesting.

Currently, Firefly has access to 65/85% DEF ignore for her Break/Superbreak damage. Her E1 (15), Ruan Mei’s E1 (20), and Lingsha’s E1 (20), plus the Iron Cavalry Set’s 10/25% ignore for each. In other words, Fugue opens the door for 100%+ DEF ignore for Superbreak if her DEF reduction is bare minimum 15%-plus the double break prots with exotoughness.

Def ignore and def reduction are treated the same for calculating dmg. Def ignore is just a buff while Def reduction is a debuff. But you would add them together

Im torn between Fugue for HMC replacement + Himeko stuff, or e2 FF since both would help me in Pure Fiction. The value of Sunday comes down to how Remembrance MC plays and if we are running a sub-dps playstyle or hypercarry for summons, so I think its still a bit too early to pass judgement on Sunday until we learn more. A thing I really wish you will test/talk about in the Fugue video is her on a team with a Gallagher using QPQ. Because I personally believe that if you have the two on one team, one shouldn't use Fugue's skill because it's only a bit of damage and it soaks up the energy from other units. But I would like some confirmation or falsification on it from actual testing/calcs.

I skipped Robin the first time and do not regret it one bit. At her release, her best teams were barely at the top of the meta. And the zero cycle gimmicks were something you could easily do without. It took until Feixiao to propel her best team to the very top, and it took until Gallagher to enable her to be played in non FUA teams reasonably And after I had a chance to get Feixiao, I was also able to get Robin at her peak without a problem on her rerun So if you're not able to get Sunday now, its completely fine. The 3.0 DPSs would more than likely be capable to handling any endgame content without him until his rerun. The most broken DPS for Sunday's archetype would probably be well into the patch anyway. Plus, you'd also get a chance to actually see if you like the summon meta and see how well the DPSs work with Sunday as you wait

​@@anirudhv5940 You clearly don't understand the point. First of all, if someone wanted to main Ratio, obviously they would have no reason to skip Robin. Second of all "Best team alongside other DPSs" =/= must pull. Until Robin's rerun, there were teams that could rival the new broken harmony's best teams. So incentive to pull for her was low. After Feixiao, Robin had the uncontested best team. Acheron required no limited supports whatsoever to reach that output, and Firefly only needed Ruan Mei, who was released a while ago, and HMC who was free. You lost literally nothing by waiting until Robin's rerun, even if for some reason you have to have the best team in the game.

Star Rail is a bit frustrating because it has so many new 5 stars, and a noticeable amount of powercreep. With the amount of wishes we get, it's really hard to keep up and you end up missing out on so many cool characters. There's no reasonable way a F2P or even monthly pass player will be able to get more than 2 of Sunday, Fugue, The Herta, and Agalea, and that's not even considering getting a LC. It sucks to have to wait for a re-run because by the time most characters re-run their power level will be out of the meta. Even Acheron who was by far the strongest character on release is hard to justify pulling now that Firefly, Boothill, and Feixiao are in the game and undoubtedly 3.X characters will be even better

@@SebasRyz I don't want entirely stagnant teams either but I would prefer less powercreep, and a focus on different teams instead. Have plenty of teams for follow-up, (super)break, DOT, summons, hypercarry, basic atk focused, ult focused, etc. Instead of going wide and powercreeping slowly it feels like every major version will have a new power tier and you'll just have to pull the newest characters to keep up instead of having new ways to use your old teams. Using Genshin as an example, Dendro made a lot of older units way better and they had new teams. Furina did the same. Xianyun opened up the plunge playstyle and let Diluc become competitive for the first time since 1.X. Xilonen made it so that Kazuha isn't the quintessential buffer for everyone PECH. There's so much team variety, and while yes Bennett, Xiangling, Xingqiu are all still good, they're not good in every team and have plenty of competition for their spots. Sorry for the ramble the comparison has been on my mind a lot. I really like HSR but the pace of new 5 stars and powercreep are its biggest flaws IMO

"By the time a character reruns, they'll be powercrept already" is completely true. Easy conclusion: don't pull for meta unless you can afford regular spending, as you'll never be able to catch up. A solution is to pick ONE dps whom you just really like so you won't get bored on investing into over long time, and stick to improving their team. Gradually collect their best supports without chasing "new meta" ones, spend TB power on their and their supports traces and relics instead of leveling up 1000 new characters, etc. This is the only way to keep up with clearing endgame without residing to regular top-ups.

im pulling for fugue for obvious break team reasons, but theres also alot of reasons not to pull for sunday atm: -sunday's kit is meant for a brand new team theme, meaning unless u have jing yuan or want to meme with lingsha, that means you have to pull for Algaea, and potentially another sustainer or another support meant for remem. -sunday's kit also doesnt explain if it does count ults like acheron and fei, so im assuming they wont synergize well -since he only targets his buffs to one person, he's more niche of a support meant for hypercarry summons, dual dps def wont be as supported -since summon meta will be a thing, he's way more likely to be re-run compared to fugue where they have overdone making break characters and she wont be around as likely (im guessing they will make more break characters, but more support on rappa or boothill or even a new element)

True! the only chars Sunday doesn't synergize well is Fei and acheron! But dw, he can work well outside summon/servant teams as well~ used as a support for other hypercarries (Jingliu, Danheng, Argenti, etc) as he is SP neutral to positive, 40flat energy regen, 100% aa, damage buff, crate, and cdmg buffs! If you're truly break oriented might aswell get him in the future patches~ I heard amphoreus is going to be remembrance, des, and nihility meta ^^

I'll be pulling Sunday on my Harmony only account. I look forward to seeing what kind of absolute nonsense I can get up to with him, Bronya and Sparkle on a team. Granted my dps options are really limited to Asta or Yukong (Hanya's skill multiplier also isn't terrible). Harmony only is a strange way to play. HMC and Robin did a lot to make it more viable though. On my main account I'll be grabbing Fugue as an HMC replacement and then probably The Herta.

People said Topaz’s follow-up support would be bad later on, which ended up a funny joke now. Kafka also showed her DoT specialty early on. Everyone knew she would be essential for DoT going forward. Sunday has a mechanic that is rare, while Fugue doesn’t. Even without the summon meta, him digging into that archetype is important. We definitely can’t skip him.

Fugue is a must for break teams if you want to use RMC, superbreak enablers are rare. Sunday is not needed right now, you can wait for his rerun when you can actually make a summon team, you definitely CAN skip him

Nah, Sunday is a trap. We know from RMC's kit that dual dps Servant comps will be a thing, and Sunday's buffs are limited to ST. Further, we know that there's a supposed nihility meta in 3.3/3.4. As the benefits of debuffs apply to the whole team, this indicates that the ideal comp could be something like (Servant main-dps, Servant sub-dps, Nihility, Sustainer). Servant damage will also be added as a new attribute (like FuA, DoT, Skill, Ultimate, etc), so logic dictates that we'll at least get a unit that builds on this (e.g., Servant damage vulnerability). Pull for Sunday if you want to have fun with the new toys early on, but I highly doubt he'll be the BiS option long-term (especially once the Fate collab hits in 3.5+).

I feel like if I had started at a different time I would be more compelled by 2.7 units, but as it stands, I think I'm waiting for 3.0. When I started it was because I figured it'd be easier to get a decent FF if I started a little early, so I started towards the end of Aventurine's banner, pulled on FF for my first 5 star, and I've just pulled on the characters I thought best solved my issues with my account since. That's put me a little low but not completely drained going into 2.7 and needing some AoE DPS now that I've grabbed Aventurine from his rerun for my fua team. I don't think I can justify pulling Sunday with no characters to use him knowing it'll probably take everything I can throw at his banner, and Fugue is compelling, but I can let FF sit out an MoC if ReMC really is that good at that rotation. I've tried to think of my DPS as existing within the silos of their mechanics and element instead of just brute force everything and its worked so far.

I feel like not having a proper light cone for Aglaea is going to hurt and I doubt she’ll be the only Remembrance character who’ll be out in 3.X. Looking at my Jades I think I'll be able to get both of them. Sunday's kit is just too interesting to me and I adore Fugue's design (I've also invested in Break teams so I'd like a non HMC option for super break). So I'm pulling both for meta with Sunday and for fun with Fugue. It will make jades tight for 3.0 though so we'll see if I'm able to grab Aglaea since I certainly want her but I think I'd rather make sure my current teams are doing well before I start going into a new playstyle.
