Beryl grew from a Tropical Storm to Category 3 in less than 48 hours, and is now a Category 4 storm. FOX 4 Meteorologist Andrew Shipley took a look at where the storm stood as of Sunday afternoon.

South Dakota . . just . . research it. I'm originally from the Carolinas, But I've lived in Alaska most of my life. I have a cousin who relocated to S.Dakota about 10yrs ago. When I visit I can't help but appreciate the people, scenery and convenience of living in such a low population, conservative mindset, state. If I ever leave Alaska, it'll be to move to S.Dakota. Good luck.

@@b_f_d_d Us Scientists say we are pretty screwed, the permafrost is melting, releasing massive amounts of methane, blowing giant craters in Siberia. That is an issue because the Sun doesn't transfer heat, it bombards our atmosphere with radiation, which in turns gets excited, creating heat, just like a microwave oven... certain gases are easier to get excited. Now.. methane, well, that stuff is like a 4 year old that has already had waaay to much sugar, and the solar radiation is like a can of Redbull.... Then lets not forget the reduction in snow, and ice sheets, which do a great job at reflecting a lot of that heat created back out into space.

Even if it hits the Gulf, it’s not too bad of a storm. For one, it’s going to get significantly weaker once it’s over the Caribbean’s AND once it hits the Yucatán. It’s also a fast moving hurricane, meaning there’s a low chance it’ll stall over Texas or the Gulf. For Texas, the worst storms are not just intense, but also how slow they move (causes more flooding than usual).

It's not historic and it's not because of human-acitivity-cause climate change. The sustained winds are 130 MPH. There was a hurricane in 1957 that formed a week earlier and had winds of 127 MPH. That's not substantive - in fact it's probably the result of measurement error.
