Yakking in the woods while plinking with my new JP-5 PCC and a borrowed Glock 21 Gen 5 in .45 ACP. I have a good friend by the name of "Bud." He's very generous and helpful, as he allows us to borrow firearms for videos. It's nice to have friends!

Your experience with typing class prepping you for computers reminds me of my own. I was a SYSOP at the University of Louisville in 1978. Hollerith cards, acoustic modems, green monochrome screens and teletypes were all parts of my day. It makes me not only appreciate, but absolutely marvel at the astounding advances we've made in speed and storage.

Just proved we citizens don't want nor need our huge wasteful government that would much rather send billions to foreign countries and to illegal immigrants (invaders). Yes, so pathetic that those mountains were not swarming with choppers dropping supplies by the tons as soon as the storm cleared. How many billions leave our shores every month in hopes of solving somebody ELSE'S problems! I hope every living human in North Carolina never ever forgets this ineptitude and how they were virtually ignored by their federal government, especially every time they enter a voting booth.

Oh the hurricane,,I have a cousin and her husband and military friends busting butt to get supplies to the needy in Western North Carolina currently.. I used to spend time along the Blue Ridge before much of the development. Asheville experienced about the same degree of devastation in 1916, but there were fewer people. I’ve forgotten the exact time frame, but technology to create precise landslide maps came along in the late 80s and early 90s. Anticipating development the North Carolina Geological Survey started a landslide and slide prone area mapping group. There are hundreds of thousands of Pleistocene landslides in the Appalachian Region. These can be reactivated by as little as a dripping garden hose in the wrong place. Developers didn’t like the constraints this began to present, lobbied and had this group disbanded and all of the geologists fired.

Yep another one hitting us but it is what it is. I can tell yea what I think of weather issues but I also know it will start a mess I have no time to waste on. I am old guy who has been around all I can say but as for storm I am on east coast and have no concerns yet West guys well they will be very wet. My prayers for NC folks and folks on West coast here, long as they smart enough to bug out? Material things really don't matter, life is the real concern. Thanks and take care! Always appreciated!

Want to save lives and strengthen our second amendment?, then we must all open carry as much as possible because open carry saves lives and strengthens our second amendment, I have over 30 years experience open carrying and I can tell you first hand that the practice saves lives, just follow these precautions and you will be just fine, dress decently, open doors for people, keep a confident demeanor, always keep a smile on your face, use level 2 or 3 retention holsters preferably Safariland holsters. Concealed carry is reactionary and open carry is a deterrence, remember we want to save lives even the lives of the criminals so please open carry and start strengthening our second amendment and start saving lives. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Same storms cs more damage because there's more people, more structures to destroy and the costs to rebuild is higher. It's not the storms, it's evolution and increase people and structures and higher costs to rebuild. It's cost more money to rebuild a 20 story 5 start resort inn2024 than it did to rebuild a one stall barn in 1780.

I keep seeing the disaster labeled a 1000 year flood. Its not its a 100 year flood, and every state has the geological, environmental floodplain mapping already done decades ago. Insurance companies, mortgage lenders know where these are located. The states warning systems were too late, too slow.
