I really appreciate your mindset when you are restoring a car from a less satisfy condition to pristine condition where the car used to be 25 years ago. I do salute you a lot because many people out there have a thinking "the cost to maintain the car should not exceed the market value of the car" which I'm totally disagree with it. Your words in the video really inspire me to keep my E39 by my side despite the car age is older than me.

Yep i agree on u. My ke30 thats owned by my dad almost going to exceed the market price of the car for restoration. But i still love the car. Its about bringing a new life for a machine. And it has a satisfaction that bringing a car of 40 yrs old in the road🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

That's what I am doing right now with my MB W210 (year 1997). The dealers offered me £1500. They told me that if the car undergoes full restoration, it will be sold for less than £3000. I decided to go for full restoration which will cost something like £ 13-14 k. Its interior condition (original leather seats, dashboard etc) is as good as a brand new. I've sent it for in-depth paint work. I've also replaced the automatic gearbox at the MB official dealer. I will keep my princess for ever. Most of the people tell me that I've made a wrong decision because the market value of the car is x5 less than the restoration cost. My answer to them is that they are free to go to the market and purchase a brand new car @ £15k. If that car is comparable to my W210 then I will give it to them as a gift. Just driving this rolling princess on the motorway it gives me a priceless value of pleasure, comfort and confidence. 😊

Don't apologize for your rambling bro. Your videos are normally short and crisp and straight to the point. Many vloggers can learn from you. I have seen some vloggers whose vid clips sometimes can be up to 40 mins or longer which makes it more like a Lord of the Rings trilogy rather than a car review (e.g Bobby Ang, no offense I know he's your buddy and his videos are informative but they are sometimes pretty lengthy like the Avengers End Game movie :P)

Recently i picked up a W210 non-kompressor as well. Just wanted to know whether it's normal that the steering wheel feels heavier/stiffer as compared to modern mercs; and whether it's normal that such old cars tend to veer to the left/right on normal roads despite no alignment issues with the stock wheels and tyres.

Congrats!! Hmm, no actually, that veering doesn't sound normal to me, and the steering shouldn't be too heavy either. Granted it won't be as light as a Myvi power steering, but shld not be too hard either. Best to get it checked out 👍🏽😊

Which one should I go for? E200, E230, E240 or 200 Kompressor? I drove one E240 today, never drove a car with such comfort from the driver seat. I thought Honda Accord was exceptionally comfy but this was something else.

Indeed, the W210s are still amazing cars to drive! The variant u choose is entirely up to you bud, this one was really wonderful and served me very well, but u might prefer a different variant 😉

Just do some retouched for the paint, i love the silver, as im having color code for w124, the fender can get in halfcut, i have some friends, for the wood panelling, also got some guys can redo, overall the engine is really good, the number plate frame can be bought, just below 50.00, the tail light can be refurbished too..

Hi Ding, thanks for ur question, hmm, the problem with single-panel paint touch ups is that the colour might not match even if the same colour-code is used, as u can see very clearly here with my W210. Its your choice but for me, my OCD won't allow it, haha! I've never tried ceramic coating before so I can't comment on it bro, sorry. I've only ever done PPS Shine&Shield (Merc W126), and Sierra Glow (BMW E12) in the past, both were very good 👍🏾😊

There are way too many variables to consider before suggesting a car, even ones that are rm10k and below. Nothing wrong with a Satria 1.6 (manual of course) or a E200, or countless other options out there bro, the fun is in the hunt 😃😃😃
