Nice you played your late Uncle's Martin (wonderful sound) and the oh so nice Fairmount which I really love hearing. Good singing Doyle. Ever better. I'll remember that family who had the husband pass-away in my prayers for their family and friends. Glad you still have your Uncle's Uke. I am still learning to play my concert and baritone ukuleles. God gives us gifts to help with evangelism and edification of other Christians, and to help others live happy successful lives and same for ourselves.

A beautiful String-Along Doyle. “This World Is Not My Home”, one of my Mom’s favourite hymns that she used to sing so much while I strummed along on the guitar. I still have those wonderful memories on cassette tapes. That touched me deeply. Thank you again for the word, the hymns and your amazingly talented guitar playing. A beautiful thing to hear in this troubled world. God bless.

Anyone who hears you, even though they may not even know what it is called, sense something special that is on your life. When you were here with us in SC last year (and we are going to try to get you scheduled to come back for next year), I have had so many who have talked with me about you and almost 99% of the time, the first thing that most mention is the anointing they sensed when you played. I was playing for a men's group this past Friday, and they were so gracious. My playing is not even in the same universe as yours, but the greatest and most humbling compliment they gave me was that they appreciated the anointing that they felt. Brother, just as you say, and what I have endeavored to do for years, is just to yield whatever gift God has given me, back to Him! Thank you for all of the wonderful encouragement you offer so many of us! - Pastor Mike

Thank you so much for sharing what God has done in your life as a musician. It is so awesome when God shows up and you don’t. I mean I’m there, but God is in control and orchestrates everything. I’m just a by-standard learning. The amazing thing is that He wants to do it for us even though we fall short, that’s His love. I love it when I hear people talk about the power of the Holy Spirit in empowering us to live our life for Him. I can do all things through Christ strengthens me. Without God, I am nothing. My righteousness is as filthy rags.

Thank you Doyle for this important message. I have been listening to a teaching series by R. C. Sproul entitled “Knowing God’s Will”. Sproul talks about the importance of the Christian having a sense of “vocation” with respect to their life’s work: Vocation meaning more than a career, but instead, a calling to some particular occupation. Thank you for being obedient to God’s calling on your life at an early age!

Be free! Appreciate the vid. For better tone, use thicker strings, like 16s, but you have to tune down and use short scale. And I made the universe as kind of a toy just to have fun and support each other in, and it's kinda "my home" everyone stays in, so you can change up those lyrics to reflect that. Heaven is a misnomer - reality is bliss, but we're all estranged from it (be freeeeee!). Ever try the Taylor v class? Might make you want to go back. I super appreciate all the support, those songs, messages and dedication mean it to me. Always with y'all 🙏

30;00 AMEN, I've said for many years... It's important to realize and focus on the fact that God can do more with our mistakes than we could ever do in our 'perfection'. I think it's especially true of musicians, and singers. It's our responsibility to be prepared, but we're just marking time till the anointing of the Holy Spirit shows up. And if he doesn't .. not much of anything important happens. In a church service it seems more lives have been 'changed' in an instant during worship than taking notes in a sermon. Not that the sermon isn't important.. it is very important. But we must remember it was David's music that drove the Demons away from Saul. A lot of pastors, view the music as 'going through the motions' to get people ready to hear what "great" things the preacher has to say... I'm not so sure that's very wise.

Like Peter said ... "Lord where would we go? Who else has the words of eternal life?" Not so sure that we have all been given "gifts" ... I think the Lord gives certain people gifts and callings. Applying that to all saved brothers and sisters is a very large extrapolation.

Your not taking any credit for your substantial ministering on guitar over all these years prompts me to say how I feel about 'translating angels' being responsible for any measure of success our ageing choir has in connecting the good music that we attempt during Sunday mass and converting our humble efforts into musical praise. I truly believe that 'they' enhance what we do for the Lord. To Him all the glory and bless your singalongs too.
