I'm in my late 60's and when my adult children ask what I want as a gift I ask them to donate to one of the two non-profits I volunteer for. One is a food pantry. lol, we put everything on our registry. From a 6 pack of coke all they way up to a giant multithousand dollar TV. We put our wants (Not needs) and it was up to our guests to pick what they wanted to give (if anything). I don't remember who gave what but I do remember that the amount of cash we recieved was enough to pay for our honeymoon. I think we only have one physical gift that has survived the decades, and those are the pots and pans. My advice, get the skillet, it will last the marriage.

First off happy birthday. Welcome to your 50s when I got here I thought I can’t possibly be 50 years old. But I was and all the things that I’ve learned in my 50s we never stop learning. We come to church not only to pray not only to offer our things to the Lord, but to learn to be reminded. Although many of us, our school days are far far behind us. We still have the opportunity to learn every day as we open our Bibles we often our catechism we open whatever book of faith that can teach us something new and make a strong stronger in our faith. We come forward to listen to you today on your birthday, to not only celebrate and pray with you, but to listen and learn God bless you don’t be afraid of your 50s it’s a great education.
