Thank you Father for this wonderful Advent Service. I'm a newcomer to Catholicism but I found your channel and I thought I would give it a listen. I'm about a week in so far and I was coming around. For so long I thought there was no place for me in the church or before god because of the way I had led my life and the things I had done. It wasn't until 38:34 that everything fell into place. I felt this overwhelming sense of peace and acceptance. It was the first time in my life I could ever recall feeling god in my heart. I immediately broke down into tears. Thank you for everything and for this channel. I'm happy to say I have accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and Savior. God bless you and your family.

If you have a particular church in mind, perhaps call them to see if they have anyone? Also, in my area (South Orange County California) there are services such as Access which give rides to disabled adults and seniors for free or very minimal cost. Perhaps contact a social worker for a hospital near you to inquire. His bless you as you wait in his answers.

Thank you once again, Fr. Mike for a moving and powerful homily. I didn't have Christmas as a child, so I don't have Christmas memories, other than asking my parents why can't we have a Christmas tree like all our neighbors? Christmas does not mean as much to me as it might to those who were brought up as Christians. I'm 94.71, so the time when I stand before the Lord is probably not far off. And it is hard for me to believe that I am loved as I am, even though my nightly prayer--the Trust in Jesus--tells me that Jesus loves me as I am. "God rejoices over your presence." We have to be willing to come before God and tell him all. It's hard.
