Drosera are another fun genus of carnivorous plants to grow. Their long leaves are covered with tentacles, tipped in a sticky dew. For a small insect this sudden death! Constantly wet and sitting in water is the keys to keeping this genus happy. Tuberous types and some of the highland tropics types can be more difficult, but overall an easy genus to grow. Temperate types can be grown outdoors in bog gardens and the Torpicals indoors under lights. Peat and sand is the preferred medium choice. I like to mist them once a month with fish emulsion to them robust. I hope you enjoy!

Greetings, as an avid carnivorous plant grower I love you’ve mentioned our native ones here from Queensland, I live in Brisbane and, although their habitat has been greatly reduced we can still see them growing in the wild, especially on some of the islands in Moreton Bay. Thank you👍🇦🇺

Prolifera grows in marshy areas underneath the grasses etc. so naturally prefer dappled/shaded light, instead of full sun 👍 (supporting your comment on its preference for growing conditions).

Thanks for the video. Since we don't know the local weather, humidity, temperature at your place, can you mention these factors as well? So we can decide whether this can be grown at our place. That will be helpful.

I have a question. Are there any carnivorous plants that you feel could be grown in an aquarium? I.E. in the filter box or in a mounted position where roots can grow down into aquarium. (I guess that would be similar to hydroponics)

@@Hello_Fuckers0 You may regret starting bladderwort in your fish tanks. If you do put it in there it is really annoying to get rid of. It will take over and get mixed in will of of your other plants. When you attempt to remove it, it breaks into smaller pieces and each of those will grow a new plant.
