Suni Lee can't wait to show off her Olympic medals to her dad! The star gymnast chatted with Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans about her journey at the Tokyo Olympics. The 18-year-old opened up about winning the three medals for herself and her dad John, who is paralyzed from the chest down, saying, "I had to do this for him because I can walk and I want to live out my dreams ... and the Olympics have been both of our dreams ... so I'm really living out both of our dreams. It honestly makes me kind of emotional because he's my best friend." Suni also praised Simone Biles for winning bronze on beam and noted that she "trained so hard for this."

It is true that Sunisa Lee is the first Asian American to win the all-around gold in gymnastics at the Olympics. But most, if not all mainstream media never mentioned is the fact that Sunisa Lee is also the FIRST ASIAN WOMAN to win the all-around gold in gymnastics at the Olympics period. China and Japan have so many great women gymnasts. You would think that they would have at least one, but no they don’t.

I still can’t stop praising Olympic gold medalist Sunisa Lee. And for many of us in the Hmong community, we can relate with her story on so many levels. Our parents and their parents came over to the US as refugees with literally nothing. They had to re-learn a new language and adapt to a new culture. They had no skills and could only work low paying odd jobs. They gave birth to us, the first generation of Hmong-Americans hoping that we could get a better life in a country of freedom and equal opportunity. We struggled also with the weight on our backs to create a prestige for our families and also learning at the same time that we didn’t belong. But today, we hope that changes and we’re so proud of Sunisa Lee because she represents the biggest achievement ever made by a Hmong person on the highest and largest stage ever. Her victory is more significant than most people even realize and it will inspire generations for many years to come!

I love this dude, his interviews are so good. Love how Suni says singing is scary, but when she’s on bars she lets go like 12,000 times, and she does so many flips on a four inch beam

QUEEN SUNI 🥰🥰🥰 While I know some people will always say “well Simone wasn’t there so that’s why she won” I wanna say who cares? Suni since she was 16 years old has been right behind Simone in rankings and when her team needed her, she carried them to making sure they got silver, and THEN she got gold and made sure the US winning streak continued. Life is about taking opportunities and suni has worked her whole life to be the best that she can.. I’m so happy she got this, she seems so sweet and there is no one more deserving. She stepped up for team USA, for herself, for her family and for Simone. She is amazing. I hope she will go to future olympics and get her BARS GOLD. I will cry with her when it happens because hard work pays off and I love seeing people achieve their dreams

This interview was not like a typical boring, straight answers, and long. Takes a interviewer like this guy to make it great. This guy should get his own gold where he works, promotion time is what he deserves
