I've noticed that when I remaster, the cymbal sounds kinda rattle, instead of the sound shimmering. Its very noticeable on a quiet song, and it is ruining the remaster feature for me. Anyone else noticing this?

Their subreddit is full of complaints about the same issue. It happens just as much with generations made from scratch in v4 with most genres. Only genres that sometimes sound ok seems to be thing like country, which i guess has more training data. I fear they removed a bunch of training data due to lawsuit leading to it being useless for most music.

@@bloxyman22 Yes, I also noticed something unpleasant. I'm actually a bit annoyed by it at the moment. I made a really cool song (a ballad), and this rattling in the background is driving me crazy... And what I also don't like right now is that I can no longer use my preset singer on the V3.5 version. It always jumps to V4. I had a singer who sounded almost PERFECT for my productions, now he sounds younger and more harmless (metal songs) Yes, everything seems a bit cleaner, but also somehow more false... One thing that always made Suno stand out in my eyes was that it sounded more harmonious and REAL overall. Now I have the feeling that it sounds more artificial... I'm a bit annoyed right now tbh

It’s awesome! Something I’ve noticed is that it’s not really better mastered, but rather the selection and clarity of the sounds are cleaner. When I separated a song made with v4 into stems, the sounds were clearer and more defined compared to v3.5.

Just tried a few remasters. In the song, there were some dynamic vocal harmonies going on. When I remastered it, the harmonies were gone. Did the remaster a few more times and still, it deleted the original harmony. The only thing that changed was that I cleaned up the song details. I removed the old prompts like Big Chorus. This has me thinking that the remaster heavily depends on the original prompts, and it doesn't depend only on the full song track. Have you tried messing with the original prompts with your remasters?

Something that annoyed me about previous versions is that higher notes show some distortions that made them sound more like chiptune, which I think is especially apparent with aggressive rock/heavy metal. V4 isn’t nearly as bad, not as realistic as Udio but still impressively so. I can’t wait to try this out when it becomes available to free users (or in other words, out of beta).

V4, Unable to "Get Whole Song I Crop a "Part 2" track and the new Part 2 track says [Crop] beside it. Now the new Crop track is Unable to "Get Whole Song" from the Create menu.

The remaster feature is not that great, It doesn't give you the exact input, it remixes it a bit. The quality sounds better but I still hear rattling and fuzzy artifacts in the background. They released v4 too soon. It would be great if it could give us producres the vocals and music seperated in stems.

No. It is a paid only feature. But V3.5 was also premium while it was in beta. So V4 might be made free to use once it's out of beta.

The remaster doesn't work on songs longer than 4 minutes. Still suffering from losing clarity as a song gets longer, it's quick though and great for coming up with ideas, I take the output and remix/remaster anyway. One day I'd like the stems to be actually high quality, instead of having to do myself and even pay more for that.

After trying a lot with v4, I am not sure if this is a step forward in every case. I remastered several songs and I mostly like the v3.5 songs more… voice quality is definitely better, but there is something missing…

100% The only positive thing so far is that I was able to save a song that unfortunately had errors at the beginning with the 3.5. Fortunately, V4 didn't completely change the core of the song. All the other tracks I remastered are at least 3 steps back. It's missing what made Suno different from Udio. That special personal touch.

Remaster is close to the orginal, but not exactly. I don't know if I did a few passes, I could get it closer to the original. It was close enough for me to use though. BTW I noticed your voice goes out of sync with your mouth in the video the last couple of videos I've watched.

Love the new model for music. Great vocals. The weakest link in all music generators or even llms in general is still lyrics. Extreme cliché and overuse of metaphor. So I'm glad to see suno at least trying to improve lyrics with the beta lyrics model.

My hard rock/aor songs were much better in V3.5; in V4 they have better vocals and sound cleaner but they lack depth in the melody, they lack a punch to make the song fuller, I don't know, maybe it's not an improvement for all styles.

It is actually pretty trash and a downgrade in nearly every single way except for voice and instrumental quality. Pretty much only genre it can handle now is country, folk and hiphop/rap. Pop, electronic genres and nearly everything else mainstream causes random artifacting, which you can hear on your own pop/dance song at 9:07 in this video. People are complaining about this issue right now on their subreddit. Also covers and extensions no longer work with 3.5, so even that is broken right now because of this update. Once you start hearing these artifacts it is impossible to ignore.

Still sounds a bit fake. Like overproduced pop music with too much autotune. The dynamics feel very flat, and rhtyhm feels very quantized. Udio is still realism king.

However ,in the field of EDM, Suno still performs much better because the drum set of udio sounds less punchy and with low quality. What udio good at is the classical and orchestral music.

LMAO. Full-best until the breakdown...suno cant even generate songs...'system error' for the past 2 hours that they cant seem to fix which does not allow song generation. of course - all the issues with artefacts in high tempo songs and distortions in low tempo aside....
