My take on this story: The Teletubbies who eat the blood are "sacrificed" to the sun because below, they see it as a malevolent deity that i only appeased by their blood sacrifices. However the 4 who leave see the sun as a benevolent child who isn't a power hungry monster.

But here's my interpretation: > All these beings live in a hole and appear to be starving, depressed and dying > Their leader sacrifices his followers upon the alter to the Sun (in a similar fashion to the Aztecs, which revered the sun as a god) > A small group of the beings appear to be upset by the sacrifice (I think because they are starving and want to eat, not because of moral objections) > This group appears to devour the sacrifice alive, before the leader actually performs the ritual > The other beings look on with fear and disgust at the cannibalism, including the leader who then banishes the group to the surface, where they have to face the sun > After donning the outfits (not sure if for ceremonial or protective reasons) the group climb to the surface and bow down to the sun (they look to me as though they are begging for forgiveness)

Story I’ve gotten so far from this: A civilization worshipping the sun although seeming to have never experienced its shine or at least felt it on their skin making them very pale, they are also run by a cannibalistic society as a way to stay alive and as a sacrifice for the Gods, one day a bright shine bestowed upon 4 people who where at first freaked out, perhaps believing that touching it would mean death or they were scared on why the 4 of them was being covered in light.The priest not knowing what it was concluded that the Sun God have chosen the 4 of them to ascend beyond the pit and to become part with the Godly being, putting on suits so it wouldn’t damage their skin they start to roam the land and worship their God (plz add more to make this more creepy)
