Why do these sports affect us so much? How do they transform us? Having studied psychology and neuroscience for some time, it has been inevitable to seek to understand the intensity of the sensations generated. Studies show that these experiences come close to the state of flow and mindfulness. They calm the mind and reinforce well-being, activating neural networks linked to the feeling of happiness, releasing endorphins, serotonin and dopamine. It is like a prayer in the sacred temple, as the soul connects with the divine in a state of transcendence. Thank you, dad @paulojuliani and all your sailing friends for being together in these crazy things that make life worth every second.
