The best analogy is the 2015-16 Warriors with Harrison Barnes was like a supercar running on regular gas. Yes, the car still can perform better than most cars, but it's going to sputter and have the occasional warning light come on. The 2017-19 Warriors with Durant was the equivalent of adding premium gas to that supercar, where it outruns everything on the road by barely touching the accelerator. Golden State went 140-24 in the regular season over a two-year span before Kevin Durant joined them. Won one title and barely lost a second title in a historic upset. Had three players on the 2016 All-NBA team, including a two-time MVP. So of course, upgrading from an inconsistent Barnes to one of the top five players in the NBA made that team unbeatable. They were almost unbeatable WITH Barnes.

Outside of GS this man has been the epitome of mediocre regardless of circumstances he has on his roster. Joy sat there and said she saw what he could do but if you saw then your eyes showed you this man cannot be the GUY and win therefore it means you should know he’s not a top dude nor should he ever be considered an all time great bc greatness doesn’t have this type of resume he has when it comes to WINNING. The expectations is for guys is to win and compete but he hasn’t done much of that again outside of GS which shows what his true talent is which is he is a clear #2 or #3 guy but he isn’t a guy you build your franchise around bc his game and mentality doesn’t work when it comes to winning championships in the NBA simple and plain.

KD is a great and one if not the greatest scorer when it comes to scoring from anywhere on the floor but this is why I hate it when they compared him to bron. They are just on 2 different levels. Even the criticism now is not even close. Lebron year 21 still doing better than him and curry and he’s talked about like he’s doing so much worse the way they talk about him.

KD has again proved what we all know and Charles Barkley stated. KD is a bus rider. His status in league history should be the same as Robert Horry or Dennis Rodman. A really nice complimentary piece, a legendary player, but not elite.
