Sunset at Artist Point | Mount Baker, WA

Sometimes you have to wait for the magic.
After a morning and afternoon of just laying around I decided spur of the moment I should drive up to Artist Point for sunset. I hadn't been all year yet, it's less than a 2 hour drive from my apartment and there was a chance that sunset could be beautiful because of the clouds. Within 5 minutes of having the thought to go, I was already in my car driving up. Since I got there a couple hours before the sunset I decided to explore one of the shorter trails of Bagley Lakes. The rain started to come down and even more clouds came rolling in as the ones sitting there already started to turn dark. I started to get discouraged and think about how I should just leave after spending less than an hour there.. I started driving down the mountain no joke and then forgot my phone was in the back of my car so I pulled over to grab it and that's when I saw my first glimpse of the mountain which gave me all the reassurance that I knew magic could happen.. And it did.
