First time fishing at Sunset State Beach. Nice and beautiful beach.

Nice catches. Never had any luck with gulp sandworms. What kind of bait and size of hooks were you using?

Thank you! I was using a variety of grubs. I just switched them back and forth but mostly I used the Berkley Powerbait 2" pumpkinseed mini grubs.

It just a cooler bag from Walmart. You find them at the fishing aisles stuff. They have couple different sizes.

Thanks for the info...this is my first time here. So, I was able to catch a few surf perch here. My go to spot for surf perch is usually in the Morro Bay area. Do you know if there's any halibut in this area?

@@edkonvang I don't know about Sunset halibut, but they can be caught off beaches in the Santa Cruz area.. I have fished Morro Bay with limited success.
