Thank you. I have a question.. My 3yo always want to paint when school starts. Sometimes it bothers me even though I allow him. Then when he is done I try to encourage him to work with something else. Otherwise, he will paint the whole day. Am I doing the right thing? Or should I allow him to paint all the time? Because I don't want to take it off the shelf. I remember I watched one of your videos where I learnt about not taking things of the shelf.

You can keep trying to encourage him to try other things. Maybe incorporate some lessons with painting activities - painting and labelling maps perhaps

Hi Archana - some children have challenges concentrating for Lon amounts of time. My suggestion is to try and tap into his interest and give him opportunities to focus on activities for short amounts of time. Starting with 5 minutes and building up (slowly) from there. Children also misbehave when they are not interested. He needs to be interested in what he is doing and you will see that he will become obedient. We have some great videos on Obedience coming out in the next few weeks... please watch out for them - they will help you a lot.

Regarding ''choices''. How you answer to a toddler that dont like the choices you give them and at the same time they dont want anything else? example > Me:You want the red shirt or the blue shirt? todler:neither. Me:Lets choose another shirt then from your drawer. todler looks at drawer:I dont like them,momy choose for me.And repeats forever cause all the choices given are rejected.I guess you dont force a choice but at the same time you cant let a todler run naked in the rain...Any tips?

Maybe they want choices with other things.... not just clothes - try something else.

This is my question what I do when you have 20 kids and you are taking them to the playground and there is a group of 5kids who are not listen and makes the situation difficult and the school don’t allow you to sit them in the bench or tell them that they won’t play.

I can understand how this may be tricky... you try involving the in group activities.... guide them towards doing something purposeful and meaningful to them. Let's try and find out what engages them and satisfy that need. They have some unmet need ... its up to us to figure this out.

Auto education,can you explain a bit
@SunshineTeachersTraining

Auto-education' is a key concept in Montessori philosophy, which means 'self-education' or 'self-directed learning.' It recognizes that children have a natural inclination to learn and explore independently. In a Montessori environment, educators provide a prepared environment with materials and activities that allow children to learn at their own pace and follow their interests, ultimately promoting self-discipline and a love for learning. I hope this helps clarify these concepts! If you have any more questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to know more about, please feel free to ask.

I have four children. They all want something different for dinner. Are you saying I have to create 4 different meals? This is absurd.

Oooh most definitely not :) That would be a challenge for sure. You can offer choices that are common and suit the group collectively. The idea is that they should feel heard, respected and honored as individuals.
