I have one and its great fun to SUP surf, anyone know if it would work as a SUP/wing foil board?

I would say it should do. It's virtually the same shape except a little bit longer compare to the newest boards on the market. Obviously they put a bit more work into the bottom shape of the board. Get a foil box on the bottom of it and off you go :-) thanks Reuben

Hi. Really great reviews. Entertaining too. One question regarding the 95L version of this board: i.e., whether or not you'd recommend it for me. Me: 65Kg, 20y windsurfing and snowboarding experience. 2y surfing shortboards. One the later point, I'd consider myself intermediate. SUP: Zero experience in waves. It's for sale 2nd hand, and thus relatively cheap. Should I get this board? I'm willing to commit to learning riding it. Thanks!!!!

Hi Antoine, Sorry about late reply on this... We're usually pretty good at getting back to youtube comments but this one we must of missed. If this question is still relevant I will get back I will get back to you. But just let us know? Thanks Reuben / SUPboarder

Hi. Great review! Would you recommend a V95 or V116 for a 75kg rider coming form a 8'10 Naish Mana 133L but I feel it's huge for me now. I would say I am around intermediate level

+TheJozyification To jump on to the V95 now would probably be to much of a jump from your 8'10''. So the V116 would be the one to go for. But in time with your body weight the V95 would be a better board to surf but its all about time on the water and surfing waves. And with the V116 you will be catching loads more of them. Hope that helps , Reuben

Hi, great review. I’m a few years late to this conversation, but have a question. I have been surfing shortboards for 10years and am good intermediate, I weigh about 72-75 with my wetsuit. I am looking for a small wave SUP. As a beginner but with my surfing background would you suggest this one? Thanks 🙏

Never too late. This board is a lot of fun and very loose for its size. Its a bit hard to paddle straight and catch waves then the longer boards but apart from that if you think that wouldn’t be a problem it could work well for you and your surfings background. Thanks Reuben

Hi, it’s me again, I have been trying to google everywhere for how to use the Naish Rapture 2016 air valve. Is it suppose to stay In Permanently or do I put it in and out dependent if I’m in water? Also I left my Naish in the car and the area by the fins seems to have sunk in a bit. I can’t tell if this was always like this or if I have destroyed my Rapture. It is all still solid, so doesn’t seem like a delamination. It just looks a bit sunken in :( any advice would be so appreciated!!! Love all you reviews. Also bought a hypernut after that review! Thanks 😊

Hi Angela, Thanks for your comments and questions. The air valve really is only used for when you are flying or storing your Sup in hot or cold conditions. So if you are leaving it in a very hot car and then putting it into cold water, you should undo the valve and regulate the temperature. But a basic guide is undo the valve once in summer and also once in winter to regulate the average temperatures for those times of year. Regarding potential sunken deck. Are you talking about the top or bottom of the board? After a bit of use it is not uncommon to see a slight depression in the deck of the board definitely if it is where you're standing all of the time. And like you said most the time these areas will still be solid. You may also find depressions on the bottom of the board but this is due to impacks from falling onto it sometimes (knees dents?). If it is solid and not squidgy I really wouldn't worry about it. Just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get soft, if it does then you might need to do a slight repair job. I hope that helps thanks Reuben

Hi Reuben, thanks so much for your reply. Turned out to be a fault in the Naish and I got a new one! So that’s great. One thing I wanted to ask you is what do you think of turning a 95liter rapture into a foil. So putting the foil box in? Have you heard any successes in this sort of thing or would I be playing with fire haha 🔥 Thank you for all your patience with my questions!!!

I am looking for a board for super small river surf....do you have any recommendations?

Something like this would work well or the smaller Starboard Hypernuts maybe.

On a rate 1 to 10 how easy does it catch waves? Thanks.
@SUPboardermag4 жыл бұрын
Its a hard one to categorise because it depends on what sort of boards you are comparing it too? But as far as a super short stubby nose boards go... about 8/10. Compared to a more traditional shape board about 5/10 . Hope that helps a little? Thanks Reuben

@@SUPboardermag thanks for answering me. Im comparing it to my mana 8.10 GT. Im thinking of getting the raptor as my spot is very choppy.
@SUPboardermag4 жыл бұрын
@@ourwilliam2405 Its a really fun board but it will feel very different paddling in and surfing compared to your mana. You will get used to it for sure.
