I love how he always fronts like it's a huge chore for him to help the gang 😅😂. But I honestly think it's his favorite thing in the world. People always talk about Vegeta's character development, and rightly so, but they kinda sleep on Piccolo's. He is basically the clone of a being [unless king piccolo got laid before his final fight with goku, and.. that somehow made HIM pregnant? I don't understand namekian reproduction 😅] who enjoyed nothing more than being evil, killing people, and ruling the world. And piccolo [jr, OUR Piccolo] talked that talk when he first arrived at the tournament. But, as we've since learned, how Piccolo speaks and the actual actions and choices that he makes are totally different. He just can't help but talk shi, like a proto-vegeta. But by the end of Z, and certainly by GT, he was a big ol' softy on the inside. We first saw glimpses of that with toddler Gohan, but he was cold and hard on him then [and told himself, at the very least, that he was training Gohan so he could use him to take over the world just like daddy... or whatever their relationship is..]. But by the time gt roles around, he's basically the group's grandparent/baby sitter. And i love his relationship and friendship with Gohan. Piccolo is just such a great character and a perfect example of great character development!!

Krillin’s fighting days are done. He has a happy life, raising a wonderful daughter in Marron, with a beautiful wife in 18. He doesn’t need to fight anymore. Idk why people really think he needs to continue to be on the front line, fighting enemies he either could take out in a single punch or dying in an instant.

@@waywardwind2783 I actually have less a problem with him being a family man (and I do love how, in newer material, 18 is actually the one jumping into the frontline first, she's also one of my favorite characters) it was more that they chose the "kill Krillin for an emotional story moment" thing again after it being used in original Dragon Ball *and* Z. That kinda thing, and the horrible way he's treated in the 80s and 90s movies, is part of the reason he's so unfairly mocked in the fan base to this day

It still relied a lot on energy attacks, which... well, Super 17 can absorb energy (even though normal 17 can't) and also has what can only be described by me as "ghetto Ultra Instinct" (pretty sure it's even called Ultra Sensitivity or some shit like that).
