So Kellen mixed and mastered this song? Super cool how someone in the band produced for the band - that's special.

Klanghelm is one of the greatest plugins ever made! Hands down the best mu comp on the market imo, I wish they would make a more like this like a vca, fet, and opto with 3 different versions each like the mjuc. They would destroy all other comp plugins!😁🤘

How do you do all of your routine with vocals. Like all the way from each of your vocals tracks, to your FX tracks and busses.

Can this also be done in the kirchhoff plugins? So useful this technique. Just came across the best video on vocal production by a producer named Nick Mavromatis and I realised how it’s not all about mixing. His production on vocals is just INSANE. You should the vocal production episode in particular.

This is SUPER aggressive metalcore? 🤔

No, the character of the vocal mix is aggressive.

@@JUNKO____ I guess you could say it’s “super”, too. The metalcore part was conflicting to me. It sounds like radio pop/rock. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I just listened to the rest of the song and it’s heavy 👍

@@JUNKO____ ngl I kinda want to hear this sort of mix on a more 90's to early 2000's style metalcore track

This is exactly why live performances don’t sound like the studio recording. Too much shit going on.

Everything is highly processed. Screams have distortion, and compression to keep the sound consistent and aggressive. You lose alot of the voice due to the frequency. The plug-in brings out the sound better but to bring your attention to the live performance, you have every right to complain. 😂

You can put a lot of these effects in backing tracks to give a similar live effect. It’s super common nowadays

Heavy processing is what made metal what it is. Even Metallica used a LOT of studio magic to make it happen in the 80s. There’s a reason why Master of Puppets is was tracked 25% slower and sped up in post.
