I bought this myself recently and made the exact same experience as you guys did. The computer AI is way too unnatural and "perfect" and it makes no sense you have to wait for them until they're done. This game is way better with only human players, and actually pretty hard to be good at!

I hate how the AI doesn't hide from explosions more than necessary and they always know the reach of the bombs. When you put a bomb you go around the corner, or get fully behind cover. They are like "Oh, yeah that will miss me by half a pixel"

Actually, real bombs do bounce pretty well. I've seen a MK-82 fall off a forklift before and it bounced down the road pretty well. It didn't have any fuses in it so it wasn't particularly dangerous, but I guess tritonal filled concrete has some kind of bouncy property to it.

I love Bomberman, and I can confirm, that the AI are bullshit, they either suicide and low difficulty, or they go god mode and read algorithms and dodge everything. You need to do this with 4 real players for some real fun.
