Especially since they were a run first team with Gore & Kap. Also Kap couldn't not thread the needle in situations like that, he had no touch on his passes, he was good at freak athletic throws where he could sling it. Also he had absolutely no 2nd look, all 4 of those plays were passes to the same guy on the same side, never once did he try to look a defender off.

For those of you wondering what would have happened if Flacco actually ran on the field and did that, here is a section of the NFL rulebook: SECTION 1 - EMERGENCIES ARTICLE 1. NON-PLAYER ON FIELD If any non-player, including photographers, reporters, employees, police or spectators, enters the field of play or end zones, and in the judgment of an official said party or parties interfere with the play, the Referee, after consulting the crew, shall enforce any such penalty or score as the interference warrants. So the ref can indeed grant a score if he believes the player would have scored on the play anyway. The more you know******

Amazing how comments past and recent are mad there was no DPI (there wasn't), but forgot or didn't realize that the only reason the game got to that point was because of the 30+ minute power outage that absolutely killed the Ravens momentum. Ravens scored quickly after halftime, and the score was 28-6. 49ers had no answer to either side of the Ravens team, and the game was looking to be an absolute blowout. Ravens were hot and nothing the 49ers did was gonna stop them. Enter the power outage.

Joe flacco is elite wether people want to admit or not joe is clutch in playoffs and has set records next to Joe Montana in the playoffs. You can say what you want about Joe but his playoff ability is what makes him elite. Just watch and see and wait in the next 5-10 years he'll have another super bowl won. They make Johnny Maniel and Sam Prescott elite cards on madden but not my boy Joe cool. It's alright Ravens love being doubted cuz they prove everyone wrong 95% of the time and they are part of the reasons why the afc north is one of the best divisions

4 years later, the ravens are on fire and the 49ers are still undefeated

I fell like this game was rigged. The first half all the calls were going against the niners. Maybe all for ray lewis' last game the nfl wanted him to win a superbowl. After beating the Broncos and patriots the nfl thought to themselves, ray lewis should win another ring. There were 2 clear cut penalties that they didn't call. The first one was I think on second down when crabtree got tackled b4 he touched the ball and the last 4th down play. This was the robbery of the decade.

I totally agree, but that's the way it is we can't change it

i thought the game was rigged in the niners favor seeing as the power went out after the greatest kick return on nfl history and allowed the niners back in the game. and the offensive pi wasn't called for Craptree pushing off dudes helmet

Creature Coby how's it rigged for the niners? The lights going out doesn't mean it was rigged. If it was rigged then it would be for the ravens. With all the penalties called on the niners.

+Sirion Heat lights going out stopped all the momentum the Ravens had. Had the power not gone out, this game would have been over by beginning of the 4th quarter.

The Ref did you watch the first half and the calls the ravens were getting? That was a pass interference on jimmy smith which should've led to a game winning td.

this is why I hate the ravens they robbed Patrick Willis of a SB win he easily was the best player on that team and he deserved a ring but no the ravens robbed him of it what I'm trying to say is he should've got a ring in his career but at least he still is getting inducted into the hall of fame those are my feelings as die hard 49er fan

Tom W What about players like ray lewis and ed reed? It was an amazing send off for them and for the newer players on the team it was amazing for them as well. I do feel for p willis though even as a ravens fan.

I love how the Niners are wanting a PI, when Crabtree was the one who pushed Smith
