Great game. Montana is the greatest legend ever. Played in a much tougher era.

The Bengals got to the Super Bowl twice in the 1980’s and had to face Joe Montana both times. They came so close to somehow beating the SB GoAT in the Super Bowl. Nah. They never had a chance.

Remember Randy Cross' story about Montana in this Super Bowl? The Bengals were ahead with 1:35 to go when they kicked off to the 49ers. Montana comes into the huddle, his teammates expecting some sort of inspirational speech. Instead, Montana looks at them and says: "Hey, did you guys see John Candy over there, next to the sideline???" Meanwhile, on the other side of the field, the Bengals Head Coach, Sam Wyche, said to one of his Assistants: "1:35? Montana? We're doomed." Montana to John Taylor = 49ers victory.... Both of the aforementioned anecdotes are 100% true.

Considering the Bengals last two super bowls were against the 49ers it would have been kind of ironic if the 49ers had beat the Rams and it was a 49ers/Bengals Super bowl for the third time in a row

Not even close to Joe Montana.

You're sadly mistaken. The rules of today's football are designed to help offense succeed. Montana played in a much tougher era. Brady would just be Esiason if he played when Montana did.
