Super Easy and Efficient Boat in Scrap Mechanic Survival

The map in Scrap Mechanic Survival is surrounded by water. Traveling through it by swimming takes too long. Using a boat is the way to go but it comes with some positives and negatives.

Scrap Mechanic gameplay but not with ScrapMan, Moonbo or KanGaming. This is also not Scrap Mechanic Creative or Scrap Mechanic Challenge Mode. It's all Scrap Mechanic Survival mode. Oh and there's also no Scrap Mechanic Markiplier or Scrap Mechanic iBallisticSquid gameplay either. I also don't use the Suspension Glitch in Scrap Mechanic or Piston Engines.

A more efficient way you could've done it is using the suspension glitch to turn the vehicle left/right and only use 1 thruster. reduces your fuel consumption by 50% and increases the handling of the vehicle by alot.

Further studies are needed to show if this ultimately saves time. For example, let's say it takes 6 fuels to save 30 seconds. If it takes 30 seconds to harvest 6 fuels, you're not saving time. This includes the time to travel to the water, time to collect the oil, return back to base, then convert it to fuel, plus anything else I might have missed.

I find a slightly better thruster arrangement is it put one in at front center and one at back center, and then have them rotate in opposite directions (both facing back at neutral). (to get them dead center, use a controller to roll them 45 degrees)

Sails! They should add Sails or a propeller like on a ship that has the properties of a thruster but only while submerged in water... That would be Legit!

with 2 level 5 thrusters you can make a flyer that will get you there in a few seconds and use less gas, boats are not worth building at this time.

ok this is a great boat for sure but my brain was triggered because the triangle shapes made out of wood on the back that hold out the thrusters were uneven one had two thick and one had one thick.

Just placd the thrusters on bearings und connect it to the seat. Easier steering

I think there is a suspension glitch that can be done for a paddle boat that will move it but when I did it myself it caused my save to crash because its doing too many simultaneously.

Boats are horrible. Fyi, not wanna sound like im tellin ya what to do. Just my thoughts. U have to go bare minimum. Tested wood 3 and bubble wrap with a friend. Weight seems to trump buoyancy once u reach a certain amount of blocks.. seems bubble wrap does a little better. 2 thrusters is definitely the way to go... 1 button for each. Use a regular saddle.. u dont need steering, its smaller and half the weight. Simple canoe with pontoons on left and right. Can set engines on pontoons. U cant expect to be hauling stuff.. u can probably build up more to throw on a 30 slot chest. U can use that for gas and items. A gas tank is a waste. Same weight for 5 slots that only hold gas. Bah. Fill manually. Lol. U keep it light, u can really zoom.

Woah woah, end your sentences with a period, not 3 and I’ve found that just boating around and harvesting component kits and getting a feel for your map size and shape, is honestly fun and can be slightly useful, otherwise this is all true

Right now, I doubt thrusters get used meaningfully by anybody. Sure, they can launch you to the top of the warehouse. You do that once or twice per warehouse. And you can build a boat like this, run it once or twice, and then park it. Shame. Thrusters are fun.
