I really like this pattern but you didn't explain when you added the yellow and how often. I cant wait to start this one. Thanks for sharing the pattern.
@CreativeGrandma3 жыл бұрын
This is a self striping yarn, no changing colors, the border is done with Yellow and I show joining the yarn, and you only join once for the border. The colorfusion yarn does all the work for you with the colors being self striping.

Beautiful pattern. I love the design it makes. Thank you for the tutorial. I have a stash of 4W yarn that I am working through, crocheting scarves for my church's community outreach program. Do you think this pattern would work for a scarf as well as an afghan? My stash has solid colors only, but I could change colors on designated rows to create a two or three color pattern.
@CreativeGrandma3 жыл бұрын
yes you can use this stitch pattern for just about anything, use the stitch multiple of 2, and down size your hook to the size recommended on the yarn label you are using
@eleanorferrier8073 жыл бұрын
Hello beautiful colors would you say this is good pattern for dog blanket size 5 yarn or can you suggest pattern with no holes

Love the pattern and colors. Could you give me the total yds please ? Often use yarn in larger skeins. Would want to run out in the middle of a project. That border is look simply awesome! Thank you❣️
@CreativeGrandma3 жыл бұрын
1,417 yds (5 Bulky weight yarn) for the main part and 240 yds (5 bulky weight yarn) for the border
@brendabickerstaff10083 жыл бұрын
@@CreativeGrandma I’m just so use to my medium 4 weight Think it have to ad 1/3 more for the same (approx) size. Need a wall of cubby holes like yours to keep organized. Thank you Glenda.

Glenda, I am trying to find a project to use up my DK scraps. I am thinking if I double up my yarns and use a larger hook, this pattern will look rather nice. What do YOU suggest?
@CNDGS53 жыл бұрын
Glenda, I have 3 of the big Caron Anniversary Cakes. Could I make a pretty big size afghan with those? Do you have a recommendation as to how many chains I should start with?
@CreativeGrandma3 жыл бұрын
Hello Nita, If you have the large 1,000 yd skeins then you should be able to make a very nice size afghan with your caron cakes. The afghan in the video finished size is 44 x 58 inches, I am assuming it is the same weight of yarn, so if you chain 100 then the finished afghan will be 44 inches across if you want it to be wider, then add chains 2 at a time until you get it to the width you want and then start the pattern. So you would have an even number of chains, or a multiple of 2. Then just work the pattern until you get the afghan to the length you want and add your border. Happy crocheting
@kathypool39903 жыл бұрын
Can I use #4 yarn as well?
@CreativeGrandma3 жыл бұрын
Yes you would just need to make your starting chain a little large and use the hook recommended on your yarn label, follow the pattern and work until desired length. Use the stitch multiple of 2.
