I love how your cooking techniques are not “perfect,” it makes it more authentic. Often I watch cooking/baking videos and I see no spills, no mess, and these perfect measuring calculations and heavy editing… and when I try to translate that, my kitchen looks like an absolute mess and makes me think I did something wrong, but i didn’t. Following your recipes makes me feel like l’m baking/cooking with my best friend. I love your videos!!!♥️

Plim bea, it's so funny you commented about depression (not that depression is funny! Its not.) I went on here because I have depression and OCD (harm ocd). I'm taking meds and everything but anytime I have a life changing event, it seems to trigger my OCD which puts me in a spiral of irrational thoughts and anxiety. Anyway, I'm giving birth to my 5th baby on monday. I'm getting somewhat triggered (also am susceptible to postpartum depression) and I'm on here trying to keep the dumb OCD at bay. Anyway, i totally agree with u. Baking and making food is such a distracting but healing thing for me too. I actually was thinking of just baking all day tomorrow just to help ease anxiety. Long story short I agree with you. Baking has helped me so much and still does! St. Honore, pray for us! Patron saint of bakers! :)

I LOVE the cooking videos here on you tube where NOT a word is said. Love them! Thank goodness there are plenty of them on here. They're nice and quiet, not even annoying background music, just a video in a kitchen showing hands preparing a dish with all the ingredients, with subtitles on the video telling the measurements, baking time, temp, how and what to do, all the steps and the finished product, yum. With all the recipe info, ingredients in a text under the video if needed. If only more of life were so simple, quiet and calming.

I made this two days ago and it came out great! I got a donut pan with 12 wells from Walmart. This recipe ended up making 18 donuts with that pan since they are fairly small. I did half with the glaze and half with the cinnamon sugar. Both are excellent! I should have stored them with paper towels though (like with banana muffins) because they have gotten almost too moist being in the container. Probably the pumpkin! They are still delicious

Made them last night. Reminds me of a pumpkin woopie pie recipe I have used for years. The recipe definitely needs a pan with middle to make them fluffy. Had some leftover batter and put in tiny muffin pan and they were much denser. This does work in a mini bundt cake pan - get lovely shapes with fancy one. Did with cinnamon sugar sprinkled but think would be nice with a drizzle of frosting as well. Think will make these again though not as much fun for guests as woopie pies (served single side with choice of dipping frosting: rum, coffee, cinnamon).
