From your description, I'm not sure what removing the fuse did for you since the light is still on. If all you did was remove the connection to the aux batter, you would get the same result.

He took out the wrong fuse (F49).

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why don't you have to disconnect the positive cable frim the aux battery?

The idiotic car manufacturers these days want to be "green", so they used SOY-based insulation for the wiring. The idiots who decided to do use a FOODSTUFF on vehicle wiring should be drawn and quartered. OF COURSE it is going to attract rodents... I explicitly asked Jeep if they still did that and they lied and said that they didn't, but I ended up with wiring damage that the dealership would not cover under warranty (so I fixed it myself and armored the cables) -- that was also the last time I took my vehicle to the dealership (River Oaks Jeep in Houston). I hook my Jeep up to an electric fence charger when I park it in my garage and have an electrified grid of #3 rebar with very short (about 1") pieces of 1/2" PVC acting as insulators so that the rebar is not touching the ground. Any rodents that touch the grid while walking under the Jeep or any who touch the Jeep and ground at the same time will get a bit of a shock. I haven't had any problems since then.

If you start it and take the negative completely off dose it die or stay running? Might have a bad alternator

@@user-dh5bx2yr9n Dumb question but is do you know if your main battery is charged all the way? It’s an AGM battery so it won’t charge off a normal battery charger.
