Just did this. Thanks! I purchased an H7 battery for another vehicle that I didn’t end up needing. I’ll be tossing it in soon.

Great video. Now I just need to save enough to do to my ecodiesel gladiator, some of the stuff you’ve done to yours.

Once you pull fuse 42 and disconnect the Aux neg cable you can use an H7 battery vs the H6 battery that supports the start stop system?

@@gcjctc2 yes. Or run a h7 anytime. My tow package gladiator came with a h7

@@WolfOverland My 2018 Wrangler JLU came with the tow package so it may have an H7. I have done the aux battery delete process about a year ago. Battery is about dead but had read I need H6 because of the start/stop. Glad I can upgrade to an H7. Thx

Sorry if this is dumb question, but why do you not have to disconnect the positive cable from the aux battery?

Safety!

I don't understand the reason you would want to keep that aux battery in place - it's not being charged and will essentially be dead. Why not remove the aux battery and reroute the positive lead up to the main battery and connect it to the positive? I know you commented on safety but that battery will die so how can it be safe to be driving around with a dead aux battery?

You can remove it. It’s a lot of work. I did this to a buddies jeep as my diesel jeep has an easier battery to get to.

Great informative video but the elevator music is not necessary and irritating
