I always keep some dried plantain on hand. Once I sliced my finger and didn't have any bandaids. So I picked a plantain leaf from my yard and wrapped it around it. It quickly stopped bleeding and healed up super fast. Love this herb and thanks for bringing it to more people's attention. :)

😂 Poor Tula, she’s such a good girl for tolerating your demonstrations! Plantain is also good for pain for humans! Thank you Dr Jones for this reminder!
@AgnesMariaL4 жыл бұрын
Plantain is awesome for bites and stings (I use the fresh leaf for nettles and mosquitoes), but for wounds - particularly those which would "require stitches", my go-to is yarrow if the wound can be bound, raw unpasteurized honey if binding is not an option (say, on the back of a chicken). Yarrow is antibiotic as well, but it is also a coagulant, so it is excellent for wounds that are bleeding profusely! I have used crushed plantain on wounds myself when yarrow was not available. I also use plaintain in all medicinal teas for my livestock when they come down with "sniffles", but - since I never know exactly what is afflicting them without going to the vet for testing, I combine it with other herbs (aka weeds) that carry various properties in order to ensure I have all bases covered ;) I have also added plaintain to my green smoothies when my gardens were between harvests ;) It's good stuff, and it grows anywhere that soil has been previously disturbed! ;)

Please consider becoming a Patreon to this wonderful channel. It has a wealth of information. He has helped my chihuahua/Pomeranian mix pups so much! They still have their regular vet visits and shots of course, but everything else I’ve been able to find natural remedies from him. The first year of their lives I had over $5,000 in vet bills. And they were having constant seizures which I never got an answer to. My pups have been seizure free going on 3 years following this docs very simple natural suggestions. I’m retired and on a budget so my monthly donation is not big by any means but I truly believe every little bit will help this channel stay open to us. It really is a gift worth investing in for your fur babies and your own peace of mind! 🥰👍🐶🐶😺😺

LOVE THIS! Wish my family knew about this when I was a kid. When we first moved to Texas from Michigan our dog never experienced fire ants. We tried to teach her to keep away from the mounds but it took a few times of her stepping in one to figure it out. The only remedy we knew at the time that seemed safe was to use meat tenderizer and make a paste to put on her paws. It worked and brought relief (even if she licked some of it off😂). I used it too as a kid on bug bites. I'm going to check out plantain plants fir my cat and for me as well with seasonal allergies.😁

I follow your channel, but I about a two weeks ago I remembered my grandmother used to grab plantain, made me chew it, then would wrap it around whatever area I had cut or scraped calling it “a natural bandaid”. Usually with a few minutes the bleeding would stop and it would stop hurting…I was a kid so when the bleeding stopped I’m sure that did lots in making my injury fell better. My grandmother used it all the time, but I remember her using plantain more when we were camping. I feed this to my 4 GSDs, they love it.

Im excited to try on my baby girl, (13yr) Chihuahua. Rescue with CHF. The recommendation to give her honey and lemon juice for her cronic cough worked. Its cut back. She wasn't able to sleep through the night before. She didn't like at first. I really think she connected the dots. She now stares at and barks for more from her premixed bottle lemon/honey when her coughing starts. Going out to gather some Plaintane to help to try. Thank you for your holistic treatments. Many do work. I have 4 doggie furbabies.
