That matches LOOP TO TEMPO. Not the other way around. My technique addresses the problem of SAMPLING material and have it fit a set TEMPO. If you have a loop that is already truncated, then yes use the way that is also described in the video.

Check that... I am currently putting together a tutorial that puts this trick in practice. I'm making a beat now using a FAMILIAR sample. Sample it strains into a track, chop it, loop it find the tempo and correct off beat drums. Sounds amazing!! Next I'll chop pieces of that sample and make drum patches and add original material from there. Stay tuned coming soon!!

Yes... That is another option... This technique makes it really easy to lock in a tempo... I used to work backwards by chopping my loop, then load it in ReCycle so I'd know the tempo... This way I can skip ReCycle altogether...

Some times you will need to "fine tune" the numbers to the RIGHT of the decimal. once you get it to make a SEAMLESS loop.. SAVE AS A NEW RECORDING! Doing that time stamps it with the tempo information. Once you have it looped perfectly and have it saved as a new recording, turn back on the STRETCH. Then you can just switch the numbers to the RIGHT of the decimal back to ZERO...
@nigel5443 жыл бұрын
Quick and easy bro. Thanks so much.

can you doo a video on beats with them super fast samples too a not so fast beat please. I dont know what they call that
@MadChemistMusik11 жыл бұрын
2 things how do you get it so the sample lines up exactly with the end loop line? mine comes iwth in a dew milimeters, also after i disable stretch and lower the tempo to the loop line it doesnt stay there and goes back to the origional length. If it matter im using a full track from george benson.

Very good tutorial... BUT..(and this is probably why people are still having trouble) it assumes you know the length of your sample in bars. So it should start with counting the beat in the sample to get that. I teach this stuff and a lot of people can't do it.
@RashadCoesBMFR10 жыл бұрын
Good point. Kinda assumed that if people are sampling they know how many bars they are sampling. You're right... I NEVER a considered that someone sampling would know how to do that. That is also a little sad too. Lol.
@ghostnotebeats12 жыл бұрын
So basically u can chop your samples and reload them in the sample
@jeremywatson160411 жыл бұрын
this didn't work at all for me, maybe I did something wrong, I chop my samples up in audacity, but it takes soo mu h time that its just frustrating, im lookin for a quicker way, so I loaded the sample into reason and did everything you said in the video but it aint matchin up

How would I go about matching not just a clip of a song to a specific bpm but a track in its entirety? Say the first two bars match the click but slowly slide away from that click?
@RashadCoesBMFR8 жыл бұрын
Then you'll have to go into the decimals. If the track drifts, then you'll have to split the track and fix it in sections.
@JestersGeneration8 жыл бұрын
I figured I could do it that way but it's really time consuming and thought maybe there was a simpler solution. Thank you for your response! Great vids!

how can u do this for a full length track cuz matching the temp for a loop is easy but when its like 100 bars it seems to go off time eventually
@RashadCoesBMFR10 жыл бұрын
It depends on the material. If you're using a track that was played live, then there IS no fixed tempo... It will drift because the drummer is a human lol...

Say I bounce 4 slices, then load them into NNXT, then auto map zones chromaticly.. So I have 4 slices are assigned to 4 keys on my keyboard.. How can I speed them all up? I tried to auto map zones but it only assigns 1 slice to a key. I want to speed all 4 slices up
@RashadCoesBMFR8 жыл бұрын
If I'm understanding your question, you can't "speed up" a slice in the NNXT without changing its pitch.
@jesserh59088 жыл бұрын
+Rashad Coes yeah bro that's what I want to do but don't know how.
@jesserh59088 жыл бұрын
+Rashad Coes I want to change the speed and pitch but how do i do that with 4 slices
@RashadCoesBMFR8 жыл бұрын
Well, quickest way to me would be just to change the pitch using the "semi" knob in the pitch section of the editor. Just below pitch bend range is a set of four knobs. If you select ALL FOUR SLICES, any adjustments you make will affect everything selected

I think missed a step. Hit me wallbangerz@gmail.com I'll try and walk you through it... Just remember if you chop a loop out of a larger portion, you MUST #1 DISABLE THE STRETCH FEATURE(right-Click select "Disable Stretch"). #2 BOUNCE CLIP TO NEW RECORDING. (Right-click select "bounce to new recordings"). Once you do that pay attention to the wave... you will see it move... I'll do another quick video...
