Hi, May I know how long I should soak the wood to release tannins? thanks.
@Scouse.raver13 жыл бұрын
If you soak it for a week maybe two it should be fine 😊

Hi…do we need to water change while soaking for two weeks? Tnx
@Scouse.raver13 жыл бұрын
@Emmanuel Alfonso hi if you're just soaking wood with no livestock then no you don't need to do a water change but you can change the water say after a week then you will more easily be able to tell how much tannins are still leaching from the wood. Emma 😊.

So after attaching the moss is it safe to straight away put the wood in to water or wait for it to dry and them put it in?
@teacherofteachers12392 жыл бұрын
Hi there. You probably have learned what to do by now, but just in case: my understanding is that you can put it straight into the water. But, just in case, I never do that. I always let it sit and dry for nearly twenty minutes.

I'm using super glue gel as well, the easiest way to get rhizome plants and moss staying in the right spot. Luckily you don't need a lot as over here it's 5x more expensive (and that's the budget option lol). Gorgeous shrimp btw ^^

Hi there, just a quick question! Do you let it dry after applying the moss for any amount of time or do you put it into the tank right away after gluing? Wondering if the glue needs to dry first. Thanks! Love your videos, btw.
@ShrimpLife5 жыл бұрын
I have always just dropped it in the tank. It dries when it hits the water. Thanks for watching!

How long does it take to fill out? The white spots are gonna annoy the hell out of me
@ShrimpLife5 жыл бұрын
depends on how fast the moss grows, it will be covered in 2 months. Just use less glue, or tie it with fishing line if annoys you
@herobrineslayer15855 жыл бұрын
Shrimp Life I’m using Java moss if that’s what you meant by “it depends on how fast the moss grows”. Just glued it onto my wood, tried to use less glue and spread it out as much as I could. The white spots are definitely visible, but if it grows out soon instead of dying then I should be fine. Really don’t want to have to scrape all the glue off it it dies. Anyways thanks for the fast reply. Didn’t expect a reply at all to be honest

@@herobrineslayer1585 java moss grows fast so with somepatience it will cover the glue

Is it easy to remove the moss from glue if we want later on?
@ShrimpLife5 жыл бұрын
well the moss basically grows in layers. the bottom layer might be stuck but the top layers you pull off with ease because they are attached to the moss and not the glue

Once it grows in, it doesn't look messy at all. The moss will cover it
@zachhood76255 жыл бұрын
Try not to push down on the moss. Just let it rest on the glue. Otherwise the glue will be on top of the moss and you'll see white spots when it dries. Then you'll have have to wait for the moss to grow and cover up the spots.
@ShrimpLife5 жыл бұрын
Ive never had a problem doing it the way I demonstrated.

Isn't it toxic to shrimps?

No, it cures once it hits the water. Many hobbyists use it and with no problems
