Ok, so this is a little theory I have about what I've seen. He was the one who sealed the Jamba Heart in the ancient war between Jambastion and Halcandra, BUT he couldn't use his own power alone, maybe he had to use part of the energy from the Jamba Heart to have enough power to seal it, and that's why he can use light and dark energy, but I guess that energy was so powerfull, Galacta Knight became an unstable being capable of destroying everything, and that's why he had to be sealed.

I like to think that all this occurs long long before the events of the very first kirby game or within an alternate universe. It seems kinda evident that Galacta knight here is able to travel between alternate universes and timelines. Perhaps Aeon Hero was their name before being known as Galacta knight? Maybe right when Galacta was defeated for the final time and sent back into that portal, they ended up right at the end of the events in Metaknightmare ultra? Considering that in some games they first appear crystallized before the fight, maybe each Galacta knight in each game they appear in is a different one?

Far flung was mention as a song in star allies. Where galactic knight came back. AND NOTE: When you first fight galactic knight, it states him as AEON HERO.
