This is technically the first movie published under DC Studios. The first film is a Superman film, and then we get a second Superman film in 2025. The trailer was powerful Christopher Reevs Superman is a big part in DC history.

It fitting that the first DC Studios movie is dedicated to the man who started everything, not just to the first superhero in fiction but to the man who kick-started the superhero craze in Hollywood and defined the character on the big screen, in real life, and in spirit

It's definitely going to be emotional for me because he will always be my Superman and even during his dark times he brought hope to others. He will always be a hero in my eyes.

Man this was very sad and emotional to watch but looks good. Christopher Reeve was an amazing man! What's also sad is his wife died not long after from lung cancer and she wasn't even a smoker.

Some people handle uncomfortable situations through humor. Even dark humor. No need to apologize for it. Edit: To the guy in the middle. Watch it when you're all alone and snuggled with your blanket and Superman teddy bear. No one ever has to know that you cried.

NO ONE WILL EVER SURPASS HIM AS THE REAL SUPERMAN, and in the real world, he was a true SUPER-MAN. I went to see Superman the movie, in 1978 when I was only 14 years old, I had read the comics in hundreds of magazines, when I saw the movie, Christopher Reeve, jumped on the screen as the right man, the resemblance was amazing, and he had very good reviews with his Clark Kent, A GREAT CHOICE! VERY RIGHT! and if the movie worked so well it was 80% thanks to him... the one and only Christopher Reeve. + REST IN PEACE. This trailer made me emotional and I even cried, I AM SURE, THAT THE MOVIE WILL BE INCREDIBLY INSPIRING.. AND WHAT GREAT MUSIC! It's going to be a sea of tears. Christopher Reeve 25/sep/1952 ... 10/oct/2004

I literally teared up after watching this🥹❤ This man right here truly was a *"Superman."* You can tell this film was made with genuine love and heart put into it. Im getting teary-eyed by just watching it. This truly looks incredible, and you can feel the love and passion put into his film documenting how much Christopher Reeve meant to the world, not just as Superman, but as a man who could do the impossible. He didn't just make us believe a man could fly... he made us believe that a man can do the impossible in the face of the unfeasible #Superman #ChristopherReeveStory

❤ Christopher Reeve had the strength of Superman and lived life to the the full. He was my hero in childhood and a inspiration in adulthood, and his appearance in the show Smallville was magical. The Man of Steel.

He was so good-looking and fun loving. In one of his first interviews, I think on Larry King Live, after his accident he answered a question about what happened to him with this (paraphrased) "Some people fall out of a window on the sixth floor and only have a few scratches. Others trip over their shoe laces and have a fatal fall." His and Robin Willams' friendship was everything the definition of friendship should be. That was not the actual footage of his near fatal accident. Apparently he fell straight on the top of his head and his first 2 vertebrae were crushed by the weight of his entire body. Basically his injury could be compared to being decapitated because his skull was no longer attached to (the rest of) his spine, but was only attached to the rest of his body by skin, veins, arteries, muscles and nerves. It's a miracle he survived at all.

There were other actors before and after Chris. But Chris will always be Superman because he had the earnest innocence; vulnerable while still being masculine; he looks like Superman; and he made Clark Kent into a totally different person that people would not recognize as the same person.

Definitely will watch. I didn't watch _Superman_ until 2017 but it was... the 2017 era of your channel (to be vague) that got me into watching it because y'all would always mention it. I remember during one of them streams Chris/Savage would talk about how Reeves Superman is better than Cavill's and why and all of those convos got me to watch the 4 Superman movies + Returns. and i thank y'all for that
As a kid we put on a towel and flew around the house like Christopher Reeve.

ive said this before, but no one gets it. gunns cornsweat clark payed homage to christopher reeve's actual hair, thats why it looks the way it does look at the interview scene in this trailer.
