He's clearly a reasonably good drummer (I've been playing ~20 years, myself) and I'll just say that the nature of the inputs kinda just lends itself to transitioning into an actual fill just to, like, fix it in your brain. It sounds and feels _wrong_ to just stop playing without doing a quick lil fill.

Hey there, I was One of the commentators of this run. We didn't get a chance to say this at the end, But if anyone wants to learn how to do alternative controller methods, please feel free to reach out. It would be awesome to see more content like this at GDQs in the future and myself @czr_drums and many others are really wanting to see more competition in the alternative controller space. Just look us up by our names in the video and you should be able to find us. Thank you to GDQ for having us and CZR for letting me run commentary.

What did something like this cost to set up? Obviously it's an electronic drum kit but then presumably you'd need some bizarre converter to make it plug into an N64. This seems exceptionally inaccessible to most people tbh
@andrewut7ya511 Жыл бұрын
I have no idea how it works but cant be more than a cable and possibly a ras pi, maybe a 100$ config plus the cost of the drums of course

This specific comment reminds me of the time I tried beating Sonic Adventure 2 with just Wii Remote motion controls and nothing else (every single button assigned to the Wii Remote motion controls no exception) but due to technical limitations with the software I was using it was completely impossible to get past a specific level... (this limitation being I couldn't get the Nunchuck to work for some reason so I had to do it all with just a single Wii Remote. I got further than I expected) Maybe if the software limitation can be bypassed I'd love to try again (although I don't stream anymore for now so it's not a priority)
