I've actually gotten a glitch-free run of 29.1 on the Koopa the Quick race in Bob-Omb Battlefield. I took the dirt detour, backflipping and walljumping to get up to the stone and through the gate. Then, in the rolling ball section, I triple jumped and walljumped up the chasm, running to the left to get to the teleporter. From there it was simple.

I discovered a glitch, I'm not sure if it has already been seen, but here's how it goes, Go to Bomb-omb Battlefield, grab the wing cap, then talk to Kappa the Quick, except his offer to race, play the race out normally, until you come across the teleporter in the mountain, take the teleporter and finish the level (make sure you have the wing cap on while teleporting) when Kappa gives you the star, the wing cap music will keep playing even after you lose it, (you might haft to get the wing cap after talking to Kappa, but I fount this out over a year ago, probably works both ways)

The Mario slide glitch is really simler to a glitch known as the super slide from 2 Zelda games on the n64 except the bomb didn't explode on the Mario version of the glitch.

There is a more extreme version of the koopa the quick glitch. Do the same stuff, except groundpound into the cannon, then just fly to the top of the mountain. Then, although you don't get a star, you beat the race in 0:00

I checked the comments & didn't see this, so sorry if it was already mentioned, but you can use that "fake item loading" glitch to make stars appear in Mario's hands. Of course it's only really useful if you don't have the star yet, and it's probably much more complex than just completing the mission normally, but it's possible. It actually used to be the strategy used to get the "Quick Race Through Downtown" star in Wet-Dry World without using a vanish cap (it might still be, I'm not sure if you can use a backwards long jump to get that now).

i think it is more of an exploit, as if it was a glitch, it doesnt break the game, jut provide a slightly faster form of travel. If you belly slide (A+B) and jump out immediately (A) at the base of a steep-ish slope (shallow enough to climb, steep enough to slide), Mario runs much faster up the slope as long as the controller input doesnt change (minor horizontal movement allowed). it lasts until you slow down and slide or finish climbing the slope. I haven't used it recently, but i found it helpful in many scenarios, most notably, the red coin hill beyond the gate in bomb-omb battlefield. I also could use it on random slopes and most staircases. As long as mario lands in a shorter, huddle-like stance it usually works. If the slope is too steep, it doesn't work. It isn't that hard to pull off, as i found it accidentally, but it did speed up my movement.

I'm pretty sure I've gotten a Koopa the Quick race time of 0 by doing that wing cap triple jump thing and landing in a cannon. For SM64 Glitch Picnic 3, I would like to request Flying Zombie. Get a wing cap, get low health, then get something to take your last health and knock you into a cannon. You will be able to fly around with 0 health. You can't get a star like that, though.

I'm hoping to cover both games in the future, BUT, I know that Sonic Booms glitches have been patched for the WiiU, and if it's anything like Smash Bros 4 you can't get rid of the update data without formatting the WiiU altogether. But hopefully it'll all work out and I can get the glitches recorded no problem! ;)

Ahh I used to have videos of R4 Cards a long long time ago, maybe 6-7 years now! But they're on a channel I don't have access to anymore :( I don't think I'll be doing any more Hacking videos and Tutorials anyways right now since we're focused mainly on glitches!
