Watching this 9 years too late, I really miss Kirua, he was such a GOAT SMB3 runner and his bond with Mitch is forever cemented in history. They are also super nice to each other which is humbling to see in such a competitive sport as speedrunning. Commentating was also superb. All around amazing video. Having Tompa there is also clutch; he knows facts about the game like no one else.
@CaptainSack699 ай бұрын
Having Tompa there is literally clutch, as in he's clutching his baby blanket while he furiously beats off during this run.
@Anthony-tu2mm7 жыл бұрын
I like how everyone in the comments are complaining about Kirua's accent. He was kind enough to come to this event and learn English. If you learned French, you obviously aren't going to be perfect, and neither is Kirua in English. On top of that, he is raising money to fight cancer and everyone is worried about not being able to understand him. Try going to a new place and not having the best grasp of the language. (You'll sound foreign too)

I'm more than totally shocked I know something the speed runners don't know. The Hand-grabber staged are not RNG at all, they depend entirely on a time-cycle, and if you watch the animation of those stage tiles that animation directly correlates to the time cycle. I can walk across all three tiles without getting grabbed just by watching the tile animation.

@mncdssctn91106 жыл бұрын
White mushrooms are skipped because you can’t die in the level, it would just be pointless button mashing. Since coin ships isn’t an extra level but instead something that a hammer brother can turn into, it doesn’t matter if they do hammer brothers or coin ships to make it 100%, they obviously prefer hammer brothers because it’s faster.

@slappingguy22509 жыл бұрын
***** It's not them, it's the stream. Also, *way* more people like it split screen instead of full. Only problem is watching on mobile.
@HorizonOfOrion9 жыл бұрын
+Ryan Forrey For one thing, full screen wouldn't even work. If they did these in fullscreen then we would all have to look at a tv screen. Now how can you say that you would prefer to see the gameplay with bad quality by placing the camera in front of the tv screen, or with great clear quality? That's why they use split screen. Plus the camera would be in the way of the runners, they would be able to see because of a big camera in front of the screen.

@branndonmoen633010 жыл бұрын
Actuallty a regular SNES can play them. The only thing stopping a Japanese cart from fitting into a NA system are two plastic tabs inside the SNES. These can be filed/shaved off in 5-10 minutes. With no visible damage to the outside. There's also a thing you can buy for fairly cheap that extends the chip reader out above the system. This makes it so SNES carts can be played on a famicon as well as the other way around.
