I noticed with the other easter eggs of World 1-1 & 1-2 of Super Mario Bros., there's a bit of easter eggs for World 1-3 & 1-4 as well. World 1-3 is referenced when Mario & Toad first meet up and go to Peach's Castle by jumping across various tall mushrooms that go towards Toad Town, which is similar to the elevated platforms in 1-3. This ends with Mario & Toad eventually getting to Peach's Castle, which is like going to World 1-4 in the original game.
