1:48 The one issue I see with this level is the fact that this sub-area would be impossible with multiple players. Other than that, this is one of my favourites of the levels you have made! The Bulrushes being stacked on top of each other in the wonder section made me laugh so hard. And aiming the fire piranha plant to hit goombas was so cool!

I believe the bonus room should work fine in multiplayer. It wouldn't have done in previous games, but now that players don't interact with each other, it might be a bit hectic but it should work. The original game has a similar setup at the secret exit of the level Bulrush Stampede.

I like that, even though you can kinda miss the wonder flower, you still have to do the level twice for the 100% so if you miss it, you don't feel too dumb because in the end it doesn't change much (at least, for 100% enjoyers) and you are still rewarded for re-finishing the level I don't know how to talk, that is terrible-

Actually, the first flag pole is one of those “Level Clear?” flagpoles that doesn’t give a seed. You can tell cuz it’s gray at the base.

@ The Wonder Flower is 98% of the way through the non-wonder effect portion of the course. You're asking people to play an entire level twice with the only change being if it has an explosive ending or not. And typically people seeing a fake exit would realize they should be more thorough before they leave, so missing it would be entirely on them.

This is so cool, the concept of bulrush going through snow is awesome, the use of fire piranha plants is amazing (I didn’t even know they could spit fire in this many ways), and the wonder effect with the bulrush stampede going backwards is incredible too.

Once again, stellar level design. Though, this is purely just my personal taste, I feel like this is a level I'd get tired of after playing it twice or more, because of the somewhat slower setups for the level. But still, great level!

Yeah I see what you mean, with how the player has to wait for bulrushes to move. For what it's worth, there are speedrun strats to skip past basically ever bulrush wait section that I took advantage of whilst testing the level.

I forget whether I discussed it in the timelapse or not, but yes the wonder effect camera did require quite a bit of finagling. Having it dynamically switch to and from an autoscroller, and making sure the player could see everything coming during the stampede riding sections, was quite tricky.

I have an idea for a level, "Popping Peaks" The level would be sky themed and would include Kerpops, Hot-hot Rocks, Condarts, and maybe some goombas. The main enemy of the level would be the Kerpops and Hot-hot Rocks and the level would have the style of the level "Countdown to dropdown". And i think it would also be cool if it was centered around pole blocks and its wonder effect would be the wonder effect from pole block passage.

Yay, more bulrushes! :D And pulling a string to control a fire piranha plant out of a pipe was a great bonus room! Hmm, I still have mixed feelings about the use of fake flagpoles though. I understand that it's best for the people wanting to get 100% to not have to play the level twice, but getting hit with a fake flagpole just... feels worse (like it feels like you didn't get credit for making it to the flagpole and are forced to restart). Although this is designed for a romhack - so this is a good feature if we're in the assumption that people playing this game are more likely to be completionists and/or wanting more of a challenge - so this is good for this reason; if Nintendo did this in a real game then I'd be more likely to be frustrated by it. (Also, the fake flagpole levels in the actual game have a lore reason for it - like getting lost in the ruins, or the trial that the Poplin needed you to complete)

So if Nintendo adds a DS NSO app to the Switch 2, do you think they could work like the DS' stylus so we could interact with the bottom of the screen in the games that require that feature? How so? I would've uploaded it today whether it was early access or not due to my weekly upload schedule. The only way my videos being members-first affects non-members is that these videos occasionally get recommended to you even if you're not a member, which is KZbin's way of advertising memberships, and which is something I can't disable.
