This is one of the reasons why Nintendo rules. They use a full fricken orchestra to produce music for their games. Their music is just as damn good and legendary as their games.

I believe Koji Kondo is the guy at 1:49, the conductor of this piece appears to be Taizo Takemoto. Such a beautiful soundtrack, brings a tear to my eye every time.

You should go to an orchestra concert cause it can be just as powerful an experience as you'd expect - if you don't know much classical music I'd suggest The Planets by Holst as it has similar contrasts to the Galaxy OST between dark and menacing, joyful and heroic, soft and romantic, and creepy and mysterious. Either that or something like Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto or Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake for something more lyrical and melodic

I don’t know what I would of done with my childhood without this game. Literal definition of a masterpiece. Music usually doesn’t make me cry, but this makes all my tears come out and I feel so many different emotions listening to this idk it’s incredible. Sometimes before I go to bed, I go outside and lay down on the grass and gaze up and the stars while listening to Galaxy music like this. It’s such a peaceful experience and that’s the power of music

I remember years ago when I first got this game, I felt a sense of adventure and excitement, and this song at the end of the game really showed it, I had good games before this, but this was the first one that made me cry at the end, I eventually got the original and enjoyed it as well, and the same thing happened with odyssey when first playing it.
